NHC moves the track “a touch west” and still sticking with the relatively significant weakening before landfall, dropping 20 or so mph.

The track shifted west in the gulf but I’m pretty sure the turn is harder and the landfall it to the east of the 4pm

That’s more an indication of the intervals on the track. They are 24 hours apart after day 3, so any nuance is hard to distinguish.

Not the case.
The NHC had it marked as a major tonite north of 25, at 4:00 it was marked as a hurricane just south of 25. Its a major now closer to the coast on their forecast.

That damned line passes right near my house.

If it landfalls with 100mph winds, how great a decrease in wind speed before that gets to Mandeville?

The SHIPs guidance at 00z is about as aggressive as I've ever seen it for the next 36 hours or so.

What does that mean exactly, Mr. Mayonnaise?

Wunderground is showing 90% rain all three days in Biloxi, that’s what I was basing it off of. This time last week showed 0% Sunny and temps in the 70s

Yeah it’s probably going to rain.

Hopefully you haven’t been restoring a convertible.

Going to need you to change your favorite team. I keep thinking you're deltaland because of the state logo and ignoring you.

RI chances 20x climo norms. Sure why not?

It’s an intensification model.

It literally stands for Statistical Hurricane Intensity Prediction Scheme. I’d hope it’s okay at the tropics.

I think you’re thinking of the NAM or HRRR.

I'm really want to post the NAM 3km at one of my awake at 3 am moments in the next night or two and leave it with no context or explaination.

But I'm not sure it would be good for anyone if I posted that.

I did a ton of shitz posting and video game playing while sitting up at 3:00 am with the 1st baby. Looking back, that was actually a lot of fun, then we had more...

901mb doesn’t need context?

Oh yeah Mississippi State lost anyways so I’m already off the bandwagon.
