I've found the use of "prior bad acts" witnesses in recent years to be very troubling. It would be one thing if the defendant had been found guilty of these prior bad acts but the witnesses are testifying about acts which most of the time were never reported to police, never investigated and for which the defendant has never been found guilty of in a court of law. They taint the jury because they are presented as factual when nothing has been done to confirm if their allegations are true.

While I don't disagree with you, at all, my comment was refuting the notion it was only a Scientology conspiracy to get him.

I didn’t follow this and have no opinion on whether justice was done. But if you are a celebrity, a person of means, a conservative politician, etc. you have to consider leaving and having nothing to do with these shitehole blue counties/parishes. You are vulnerable and will never be given a fair shake in those places. I would want to be where the rule of law still exists and where there are fair minded jurors.

If he didn't do it, they wouldn't have gone through with the criminal process & he would've just payed them off.

Beings the women stuck it out makes me think he's guilty af

The events in question happened 8 and 10 years before he was married.

Pretty sure one of them went to the police back then and they didn't bother investigating.

One of Masterson’s accusers filed a police report in 2004 saying that she was raped in 2003, but the case didn’t move forward. The Los Angeles Police Department started an investigation in late 2016 after “three women have come forward and disclosed that they were sexually assaulted by Masterson during the early 2000’s,”

Just one link, but it was widely reported at the time he was finally charged.

Wut?? A jury after 8 days of deliberations fond him guilty of 2 counts. They hung on the other. The implication being, there was more than enough evidence for the jury to make a decision, and the jury apparently did a thorough job of evaluating it.

If he went through a trial and jury couldn’t vote to convict, how is it constitutional to have a do over?

Just Like Darren Sharper. Dude was rich and good looking. But got off on the power. Both fricked in the head.

Young rich and good looking. These guys have got so much arse over the years, they probably get bored. Do they do this next level sick bs to get off. It’s why there’s probably a lot of truth to the rich and powerful being involved in pedo rings. They think they are untouchable.

After Masterson was taken away, family members like brother-in-law Billy Baldwin and friends stayed in the courtroom in an obvious state of shock.

They're stunned that their celebrity bubble didn't insulate them from real world consequences. Too bad so sad.
