It doesn't help that I have the capabilities to work from home and my boss is on vacation

oh I absolutely do see the differnece.
Maybe the media wouldnt have reacted as strongly had the DPD put it out there that he was cleared, but at least it would have been available to the public over a broad spectrum to do what they wanted with that information

I'm saying they should have circulated this photo to the cops who were on the scene at the time of the initial shooting. Which is not THAT large of a number.

The shooting began just before 9PM. The description of this guy wasn't given to cops by witnesses until after 9:30PM. The picture was found around 9:45PM by someone online that was listening to police scanners asking for video of the guy.
That's 45 minutes...45 mintues in to this thing, there was a large number of cops from various agencies onsite. I was listening to the scanner and it was chaotic trying to get them all on the same channel/page, yet you think they could easily circulate a picture?
