Startlingly big.

If we are actually talking about the Timber or Eastern wolf species (Canis lycaon), they average like 70 pounds, which is smaller than the Grey Wolf (C. lupus).

I’m sure there’s a joke to be made about fighting the NBA, team though. “Lost money on them in the playoffs?”

I honestly don’t know how people get fricked up by singular dogs so often. Sacrifice your weak arm and now you are at a huge advantage

This seems relevant:

That graphic tells me the majority of Brits and Americans have no clue about animals. A chimp would fricking destroy you

But Brits are still pussies 250 years later

Looking at that graph, there’s lower confidence than I thought with rats, a lot of confidence with house cats, and it’s clear geese terrorize the Brits more than Americans based on that range.

No way. It's going to slip out. It's covered in fur and its jaw is not going to provide as easy an angle to grip onto. It will also thrash more quickly and violently than a human and potentially wriggle its hind paws to a point that it can dig in to the lower abdomen and legs of the human. Then when it gets loose it's taking out the throat.

10% and 17% isn't a majority.

I took this into consideration, but I can counter all of them. You are in a fight for your life and presumably sweating. The fur would actually give more grip than 2 sets of sweaty skin. While the wolf has a weaker jaw to hook into, it has a lot more neck than a human so blocking the choke would be much harder (of course the farther down the neck you go, the more danger you are in)

And finally, the boosted strength of adrenaline could help you clamp down and fight the wriggling.

Those saying they could beat a crocodile, gorilla, lion, ELEPHANT and grizzly are either high, joking or intellectually disabled.

It does. Much better plan than hoping an attacking dog stops

No. Ive wrestled around with my Great Dane and hes ungodly strong. I would imagine a Timber Wolf is even stronger, so the obvious answer is No.

Your Great Dane is about twice the size as a timber wolf

Dog has adrenaline too. And, it is far faster, more flexible, and more violent in it's attempts to escape.
