Counterpoint, how’d they domesticate the first wolves?

ETA: you can google several instances of people killing wolves bare-handed, and they didn’t start in choke position

If a wolf thought you were a threat, you'd never see him. He'd unass the area until you were gone. If he thought you were prey, you'd never see him until he sprang on you from behind, and there would be more than one.

Big cats scare me way more than big dogs. More athletic, faster, agile, etc

Most people dont have any idea how strong a dog and even less of an idea how strong a wolf is. I say thats a loss 9/10 times.

My mom used to have a Timberwolf for a pet so I’m well aware of their capabilities.

Could I kill one with a choke head start?? Absolutely..

Not by putting them in choke holds.

Those wolves were diagnosed with either dementia or AIDS post-mortem.

Your friend is an idiot.

Just grab the side of a rack of a deer you thought was dead. A soon to be dead bleeding out deer will move in a way you just can’t comprehend

And wolves kill them.

Ask him who he’d rather fight: an adult male baboon, or an adult male chimpanzee?

I have a 120 lb dog that doesn’t have a mean bone in his body but when he wants to get rough and we wrestle it’s seriously impressive how hard he is to wrangle.

If he wanted to frick me up he would. Not sure he could kill me without some luck, but I’d be seriously wounded. I watch him bite through cow femurs like chicken bones.

Now make him a wild, lethal carnivore bred to kill and it would be highly unlikely I could win. I think snapping a leg would be your best chance.

A mature buck would maul the absolute frick out of a lone timber wolf my friend. Like frick their shite up

Would be roughly a 110 lb advantage for the buck.

A eastern wolf is far more like a coyote than it is an actual gray wolf. I saw some in MN and I actually thought they were coyotes

Wait...there is a % of people greater than 0 that believe an unarmed human could defeat a gorilla, lion, elephant, or grizzly bear?

I didn’t appreciate how much smaller the wolves in question were. That makes a big difference.

It would still frick you up if it got out and you’d have to get somewhat lucky. Still think I’d try to snap a leg early.
