Dog owner kinda seems like a douche. Cop asked him to come to the road to avoid the situation and he refused:
the cop straight shot a Chihuahua because it baarked at him 2 feet away.

He did try to avoid the situation all together by asking the guy to walk to him so he didnt have to walk farther into the property and piss the dog off more
So you are saying the cop was in the right by shooting a harmless dog to prove a message?

Im not trying to be a dick, but what kind of “situation” was that cop in?! The cop was dealing with a dick, but that doesnt have ANYTHING to do with a harmless pet...

I thought shooting the little dog was a dick move and I thought the man recording was a dick so yea pretty much.

How was recording it being a dick?

Obviously the officer has severe mental issues and is the type of person that you would want being recorded

Even I would never shoot a freaking ankle bitter. I might punt that little fricker but I'd never shoot it. Total D-bag move and that guy needs his head examined.

He also needs to be fired and charged with cruelty to animals

What do you think would happen to you if you went up and shot someone's dog like that?

He should have put the other cop down like the rabid dog he is. Shooting a tiny ankle biter because he was in fear? bullshite. He shot that dog because he is a psychopath.

I don’t know the backstory but it appears the cop was in the dude’s driveway of his home. If so, simply ask the officer to see his warrant. If he can’t produce one, kindly ask him to leave. If he doesn’t, shoot the cop for trespassing. Case closed.

Probably one of the reasons people are pissed

pending investigation.

Investigation takes about 5 minutes

Dude needs to be immediately terminated without any pay and charged with cruelty to animals and prosecuted like any other individual would be.

People are sick of officers being treated as if they are above the law.

I agree 100%. IMO, I think the guy will be fired due to public outcry. Faulkner County can be shady though.

Cop must have been in fear for his life. Obviously a justified shooting. Back the blue.

Sorry, but if your dog comes at me to attack me I’m shooting it. It’s not reasonable expect cops to do anything else.

And no I’m not a cop.

Looked at the comments
Seems like the dogs alive and will need surgery, the cop was placed on leave and is being investigated.

quote:

The sheriff’s office is investigating an incident after a Faulkner County deputy shot a small dog outside a home in the Shiloh Estates neighborhood.

Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Erinn Stone confirmed late Friday that the “unfortunate incident” is being investigated by Sheriff Tim Ryals and that the deputy involved is now on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.

Authorities were called to the neighborhood regarding “an aggressive dog” complaint, Stone said.

A video of the incident was captured by a resident in the area and “is currently being reviewed by supervisors.”

Stone said officials will investigate the matter to ensure no laws were broken when the deputy reportedly fired his weapon and shot the dog.

“Sheriff Ryals wants to make certain no local, state, or federal laws, as well as any sheriff’s office policies have been violated during this incident,” she said.“The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office will investigate this incident to its fullest. Thank you for your on going support.”

We have protocol robots for cops, not people. We should have seen this coming when departments started rejecting applicants with a higher IQ.
