re: Cop shoots an “aggressive” 10 pound dog on video

They were filming a movie at an antebellum house behind mine. The homeowner's dog barked at the movie security guard so he called the cops. House was on 8 acres so it was an open area with only a perimeter fence. Coo comes out and shoots the dog for barking at someone on his own property. Dog was some local mutt type that wasn't going to bite anyone. Homeowner, a local doctor, took no action.

I'm surprised people don't shoot at cops when their dog gets shot
There are plenty of videos out there of pussy cops doing this same shite, just lusting for blood. I feel like if you were a meat head in high school you would make the perfect cop in today's world, where aggression trumps everything.

Why did the LEO transition to lethal force? What danger was he or a citizen in? They cannot choose to simply use a firearm because they have one issued. That was just crazy.

Go to his house and shoot his dog.
The dipshit is afraid of a tiny dog. He shouldn’t be a cop.

Cop is a huge pussy. Someone should steal his lunch money and make him cry.

Send a sympathy brick through his house and car window.

I’m in no way saying the dog deserved it or anything of the sort, I’m just here to point out that if Chihuahuas were 50# dogs instead of 5-10 pound, this world would not be safe for human beings. Those are skiddish, aggressive little dogs

People like to live in ignorance that the majority of cops are good, and there are only a few rotten apples. Couldn’t be further from the truth, especially in Louisiana. The average cop is a cop because he had few other options.

Yeah. If a cop can’t de escalate a chihuahua barking at him we gotta do jystba touch of training.
The dog was as much of a threat as a radio playing.

Meh... I'd have a higher chance at crying over spilled milk than a chihuahua getting shot.

I read that the cop was a K9 officer. Saw a pic of supposedly him with a German Shepherd. Not even joking. I think he missed his calling.

Dog owner kinda seems like a douche. Cop asked him to come to the road to avoid the situation and he refused:
You got DV to hell. But I agree. While you can argue strongly it wasn’t needed the cop asked him to approach the street, and explicitly told him that if he refused, the cop will be forced to approach him instead and if his dogs moved towards him while he did that, they would be shot.
The owner, thinking only his perspective mattered, still refused.
Cop did exactly what he warned against.

Don't have FB so I can't see.. But I would like to see the situation before judging, but I can't imagine how a 10 lbs dog can be much of a threat, unless it was getting in the way of the police trying to do his/her job.

I’d imagine the argument is not having the ability to “deescalate a small dog.”
It’s the distraction the dog can provide from the real threats.
