I was in the middle of writing an amicus brief for people who can't support their families due to unprecedented shutdown of private enterprise
But I'll put that on hold while we deal with this egregious receipt situation

am not a constitutional lawyer and this isn't real legal advice, but I did stay in a Holiday inn last night.
Maybe you should have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

I know the sentinel was only doing as management directed but I believe the whole premise of stopping everyone is constitutionally flawed and they should only stop those actually suspected of a crime.
Lawyers would be lined up at the doors for the first black person to be asked for their receipt in such a scenario.

WalMart isn't the fricking government. "Civil liberties" aren't at stake here. Don't like it? You have the right to take your business elsewhere.

Then why put any more bullshite on that guys day? Because you believe showing your receipt is a violation to you? Shop somewhere else, you certainly have the constitutional right to do so.

I never show my receipt to the Walmart person. I just say no thank you and keep walking. My goods are paid for, I haven't committed a crime, frick you, I'm leaving.

I don’t know you, but I’m certain that I don’t like you after reading that

Meanwhile, stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot don’t even pursue shoplifters?
Bass Pro Shops doesn't either. You'd be amazed at what folks pilfer from that store.

No. It is merely a farce I don't feel like participating in.
Our business concluded the moment the card reader said approved.

Are you a sovereign citizen?

They're trying to save honest customers money by stopping theft. Plus, it's their store you are in. I'm not a lawyer, but I'd guess they are well within their rights, and you were wrong.

I said you have no right to do this and continued walking out the store.
It is important to remember that this is America and you absolutely have the right to not go to wal mart.

Don't you realize with the self-checkouts you could pretend like you're paying and just bag the shite and leave the store?
This is not my problem, its a store decision.
I always check out through a cashier station unless there are none on duty.

You're about to have bigger problems with commies like LaToya Cantrell wanting businesses to ask customers for ID so they can be tracked (presumably for CoronaVirus)
That will be my next post.

No. They don’t have to see your receipt. But people stealing shite don’t know that and it’s a deterrent you dumb frick
I really don't think it's THAT much of a deterrent. I've never once had any of those people checking do more than glance at my reciept.Never once did they even look at was in my bags And the local Walmart I've been to lately doesn't even do it anymore.

Are you really labeling yourself the Rosa Parks of Walmart Receipt Checking?
Please tell me you are. Please.

Ok, I take back my previous post in this thread. THIS is the dumbest thing I've read on here this week. You've outdone yourself.
