Congratulation I'm sure she is a fine young lady. I don't think anyone meant to imply that there is anything shameful about the female body, just that some young ladies are dressing inappropriately.
We were having dinner in Ruffino's last year, apparently it was prom night, a dozen or so ladies were leaving with their dates, about half the dresses were "surprising". Standards are always changing, I suspect the pendulum will swing back toward more modest clothes. I just hope it isn't burkas. When I was a teenager, the skirts got shorter and shorter every year, then one year they went minis to maxis.

We need modesty to return. Parents need to parent. Everything is out of control.
Men/guys have a ton of responsibility in this too. If we want women to dress respectably, we can act like giddy dogs when they dont. They are positively enforced by us.
They just dont realize us wanting to talk to them at a bar because they are dressed like floozies is not the same thing as us wanting to date them.
But we gotta take some responsibility, and get back on our patriarchy grind.

Uhh thats just your job, mate. Youve been shamed into shirking your responsibility because people told you it was creepy. Its not.

Honestly, I'm probably more extreme in my views on particularly young female modesty than most folks are. For the record, I'm a childhood sexual abuse survivor so that factors into my views a ton but I don't think it's a great thing for families to post pictures of their beach vacations with little girls in two piece bathing suits on their social media pages. The world is full of creeps and you'd NEVER give a person access to pictures of your 9,10,11 year old daughter in her underwear but you'll put a picture of her in a two piece on your facebook feed?
I agree 100%. It is appalling to me the way some parents let their young daughters dress.

I think it's super troubling to see 14,15 & 16 year old girls in skin tight, revealing dresses out there for the world to see. Too many sick people in my opinion.
All of this. People in my family post things like that all the time. Of course it’s always innocent and they act shocked when I bring up that their 12 year old is now on the internet in a two piece swimsuit.
A huge portion of society doesn’t understand how disgusting, depraved, and widespread predators are on the internet.

It's a good idea to not post pics of any underage children Due to geo-location data which is imbedded in a lot of pictures, it is not difficult for a creep to track down a specific child.

Holy shite. Guess I am going to campus soon

These ‘conservative’ views are sounding much like those of Mideast Muslims and those that have immigrated here. Would these ‘conservatives’ prefer the girls or their mothers to be whipped in public, or, both? Would that elicit their erections?
There's a whole lot of space between allowing girls to dress like a whore and whipping girls in public

If predatory young men would stop relentlessly pressuring these young women about their appearance, to the point that they are forced to dress provocatively almost against their will, this wouldn't be an issue.

There's a rather large difference when you ask this question and the female is 15 versus 25.

You just described the sex life of a segment of the world's population.
Parents in the US have no clue that literally Tens of Millions of third world country men are scraping US social media for this stuff

It became apparent to me while raising my daughter that by middle school the girls dressed to impress the other girls, a sort of competition. Predatory young men had little to do with how they were dressing, though surely were pressuring young women for other reasons; it wasn't that you should wear this or that but you should do this or that.

And since it is October, I'm sure there will be the usual incoming rants about inappropriate Halloween costumes.

She isnt wrong.
I see family photos people post online and their kids are dressed like they are streetwalkers.
