Girls are competing with the other girls.
That mom needs to take a ride around LSU campus where all the butts are hanging out of shorts.

We need modesty to return. Parents need to parent. Everything is out of control.

I miss downtown Columbia, SC during the summer market. It's rather surprising how many of the lovely ladies of USCe A) don't like wearing bras under their skin tight, thin tops and B) have nipple rings.

I've heard the phrase that, "Modesty is a commodity". I just can't get over the outfits that my daughter's peers wear in public.

She's too preachy for me, although I don't disagree with her underlying point. Dresses for HS dances are definitely over the top sometimes.

Although I will push back and say that they were much more revealing/whorish 15-20 years ago. So I think she is misremembering all the two-piece "dresses" that chicks used to wear.

Honestly, I'm probably more extreme in my views on particularly young female modesty than most folks are. For the record, I'm a childhood sexual abuse survivor so that factors into my views a ton but I don't think it's a great thing for families to post pictures of their beach vacations with little girls in two piece bathing suits on their social media pages. The world is full of creeps and you'd NEVER give a person access to pictures of your 9,10,11 year old daughter in her underwear but you'll put a picture of her in a two piece on your facebook feed?

I think it's super troubling to see 14,15 & 16 year old girls in skin tight, revealing dresses out there for the world to see. Too many sick people in my opinion.

I don’t see how parents let their teenage daughters out of the house dressed like they do. Go to a high school football game when the weather is warm. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

I'd say that dads play an even bigger role in conveying self respect to their daughters.

I haven't been to church in a long time, but way back when it used to be full of women who were clearly dressing to impress. Lots of T&A from the Jesus loves me crowd.

Part of the problem is what is being sold for them to wear.

Much like in the 90s when all you could find was super arse low rise jeans where your arse crack would hang out, most popular stores that cater to teenagers sell shite that they have no business wearing.

The step daughter runs more tom boy-ish and we had a hell of a time finding her shorts that didn't have a super short inseam (and she has long legs on top of it).

Right, this isn't exactly a new phenomenon.

South Park had an episode over 20 years ago that made fun of girls wanting to be stupid, spoiled whores like Paris Hilton.

Mr. Slave had to be the voice of reason and remind the parents that being a whore is a bad thing and their daughters need better role models.
