A lot of women I graduated with have daughters this age and they are dressing them like complete hoochies. I really don’t get it. Hope they enjoy the inevitable teen pregnancy they’re about to end up having to raise.

For many, many years fathers have intervened their daughters lives as far as what it means to be a woman as if a man has any idea what that means. My “job” is to all that I can for my daughter, not a consultant to what it means or takes or how to be a woman. I can only be a strong man in her life and show her how a man is supposed to behave, not tell her how to dress, as if I would know, or how to behave as a woman, as if I would have the slightest idea. Many women with that father have all manner of bad experiences with men throughout their lives. Finally, my “job” as her father is to raise her in a way that works for us. If that means she goes out of the house in a way that I don’t approve of so be it….she will most likely turn into a strong independent woman like her mother….if so I will have done my job to perfection. Raise you’re daughter as you think is best….and allow others the same courtesy.

There valid points to be made in this topic, but why is she addressing this issue to Christian moms specifically, as if this is a huge problem specifically within the church. The vast majority of parents who are going to allow their children to dress in the ways she's describing are not going to be Christians.

i dropped off my nephew and some of his friends in tigerland friday night and i couldn't believe it, i felt like an old fart for the first time in my life. instead of looking and admiring I couldn't believe these girls were dressed like straight up whores

It's a problem across the board until you're elderly, sadly.

I had to go out of my way to get a high neckline wedding gown that didn't have a slit. Everything I tried on besides the one I bought would have had my chest spilling out the entire night, and I'd have been pulling it up the whole time.
