If only Bill Hicks were alive to critique this trial and her supporters:

Has the judge given the dynamite charge yet?

Probably every woman on the jury is describing that time they were depressed and how they understand what the defendant went through.

If so, one of the men should ask them if they strangled their children to death?

Tuey Rodriguez was not given yet, very likely next time they come back deadlocked.

American women, on the other hand, claim to be equal to or better than men at everything and yet think some sort of hormonal imbalance justifies the premeditated murder of 3 kids. Which is it? Are you a strong and independent woman or are you someone so weak that you cannot accept agency or accountability for your actions?
The thing that gets me about Belle and others on here is that they are part of the group who will be most affected socially by the massive gender divide over Clancy.

Throughout history, men, by and large, recognize that unjustified violence towards others should be dealt with appropriately, no matter the gender or mental state.

Women, on the other hand, have largely had a softer view, especially when other women are involved.

This case though…hell…

We now have massive swathes of women arguing that a “bad day and emotional state”excuses an action.

We have large groups of the female gender arguing that they are simply one bad day from a potential infanticide, and they empathize with this.

That is essentially the same viewpoint of the 1900s psychiatrists who would commit women for their emotional state.

So, we now have a contradicting viewpoint of “women should be in positions of power” and “women can’t regulate their mental/emotional state”.

That is a world I do not want my wife, who doesn’t believe any of the Clancy nonsense, and daughter to live in.

Got it. Thanks.

Am I reading Massachusetts law right that he cannot send them back twice?

This is just factually incorrect historically

Women have been far harsher on other women with punishment than men are. Men are the ones that have let women off far more times than other women have

If the jurors have post partum depression they will likely give her the chair.

Well, go take it up with the great state of Massachusetts. An insanity defense is allowable on their books and part of this case.

That way they can inject their emotions and feelings into the case.

This particular thread proves quite the opposite. I'm trying to talk about what actually happened in the trial, and I'm apparently a big liberal Lindsay Clancy supporter now.

Lmao at the "I'm just trying to talk about it" chick who literally a page ago couldn't answer a question about something she herself said without crying about it

If you watched the trial ... then you realize the defense testified "My client killed her kids" ...

So your whataboutism regarding Patrick Clancy rabbit holes is proof that you are either lying about watching the trial or are just a dishonest troll in this thread ...

Generally only in cases of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse does that play out, but that was in all cases of all genders, although meta-analyses do show that participant type (defendant gender, race, etc.) has less of an impact that other factors like socioeconomic factors.

This case is kinda starting to limit the view that “violence towards children” will fit in that group.

This case , to me, speaks more to AI algorithms with social media than anything else

I see some foolish statements and acting from both sides of the aisle due to this IMHO

Well one side would just like people who kill kids to be punished for it

Saying things like "women shouldn't be able to vote if she is found not guilty" is just taking the other side's logic to its obvious conclusion. We (or at least I) don't actually believe that.... people are able to control themselves. Millions of women per year deal with PPD and don't kill their kids.

Women today have it easier than every generation before them and yet suffer from more mental illness than ever before. Our mothers and grandmothers had significantly harder and busier lives and they just got through it. The average woman today watches her roomba clean her house while waiting on her doordash order all while sitting on the sofa and scrolling social media. An idle mind is a dangerous mind.

Okay. I'm done with this topic, but here's Patrick's statement to the press 4 days after the murders.

Patrick Clancy's Statement to the Press: January 28, 2023

quote:

I want to share some thoughts about Lindsay. She’s recently been portrayed largely by people who have never met her and never knew who the real Lindsay was. Our marriage was wonderful and diametrically grew stronger as her condition rapidly worsened. I took as much pride in being her husband as I did in being a father and felt persistently lucky to have her in my life.

quote:

I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have. The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone - me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.

This is what her own husband said about her four days after she strangled his children to death. Again, I don't know this lady.

I mean it is EXTREMELY common for people close to murderers to do that.

When has any family member in any kind of true crime scenario been like "Oh yeah, I definitely saw it coming. They were bound to kill their kids eventually". Literally never happens.

And he could be telling the truth and that statement be 100% accurate. I just don't think we can draw any conclusions from it.
