Nope. The Commonwealth had to prove that she was not "insane" (psychosis) at the time of the murders and that she is criminally guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt.

Compromise verdict manslaughter or something

Unless Massachusetts is different than nearly every other state, yes it does.

Insanity is just a plea for the weak.
Haul her out front and hang her from the highest tree.
Then go home.

It really is that simple here

Fact this is going on so long means there's at least one holdout and the fact they have held out this long means they're probably not breaking. Going to be a NG or a mistrial.

Ahh, well then, congrats! The exceptional mom child murderer just may get off.

They are.
The defense has to show some credible evidence of NGRI then the burden shifts to the state to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she wasn't insane.
That's why this is a total cluster frick of a trial.

They in fact are, unfortunately

I quoted something you said that contradicts something you claimed, and I have something wrong with me?
Really holding the banner for women's accountability here, aren't you?

That is not what I said at all, and you know it. This whole topic has turned into "boys rule, girls drool."
This is what I said:
"It's the most horrifying thing to think that someone you know - who is a great person and loved by all - can just snap and do something like this."
I do not know Lindsay Clancy. I stated that numerous people on the witness stand went to bat for her. This is factually correct.
Well let's cut to the chase.....do you think she was a good mom? Do you think she was a good person?

Men look at what crime was committed.
Women look at why the crime was committed. That way they can inject their emotions and feelings into the case.

That's unfortunate.

I think the issue with so many women jurors is that there is at least one, probably multiple, who think that she is guilty and should be put in jail, but they don't have the stomach to do it. Men focus on outcomes, women focus on details... how is it accomplished.
They think they can throw her in a psych facility, get the same outcome (at least in their mind), and they can sleep good at night. The reality is she will be on the streets again if she gets in a psych facility with a not guilty verdict.

It actually does happen.
