Except for that one time.....

I'd rather my wife be somewhat kind and an average mom if it meant my kids get to survive. But that's just me.

Mistrial?

Lol cant believe people wasted the last few weeks of their lives discussing this trial that wont even count.

My guess is they're struggling with whether she should be charged guilty and sent to a correctional facility (I don't know if Mass has the death penalty, I'm going guess probably not) or whether she gets sent to a state, criminal mental facility.

I can't imagine the issue being anything else realistically.

Apparently, in order to be viewed as a “wonderful mother” you have to act appropriate right up until the point you kill your kids.

All that is required.

That was actually part of the prosecution's initial theory. She was such a perfectionist that when she couldn't be perfect, she decided to kill them and herself.

Correct. And then I think when all of these people testified on her behalf, that she wasn't controlling just a "good mom" (NOT my words) they switched it up. In the closing arguments all of a sudden she "did" have some mental issues but not psychosis. Ultimately, the prosecution was not clear in what they were trying to prove, hence the "reasonable doubt."

Hopefully new competent, male prosecutors are brought in next round to be able to go toe to toe with Reddington better.

In a state like Massachusetts... that likely won't be seen in a good way by a jury... a male prosecutor essentially trying to beat down a woman claiming mental illness

The Commonwealth is likely handcuffed to picking female prosecutors for any potential take 2

This is what you said:

It's the most horrifying thing to think that someone you know - who is a great person and loved by all - can just snap and do something like this.

You didn't say that people testified that she was a great person. YOU said she was a great person, and for that you are rightfully getting laughed at and ridiculed.

You'll find character witnesses willing to go to bat for even the most evil of people, as Scruffy has already pointed out. That doesn't mean they deserve even an ounce of sympathy.

Exactly.

The only horrifying aspects of this case are:

1. The death of the children, and

2. The insanity of large swathes of women who “empathize with” and “have sympathy for” a literal child murderer.

This truly should be solely black and white.

“She did it, therefore she should be punished.”

Any other views, stances, excuses, etc., are emotion-driven drivel.

both Dhamer and Bundy had many people describing their character as “wonderful”.
People forget man, Ted Bundy received hundreds of love letters, nude photographs, and marriage proposals from women while he was in prison and on trial.

Many women being insane didn't just start with this case. But now they think they should be allowed to literally get away with murder.

The state has to prove that she killed her kids. That's a pretty low bar given that the defense does not dispute that she killed them. The burden then shifts to the defense to prove that the murder was justified or should otherwise be excused.

The trial is just providing more and more evidence that women should not be judges or hold political office.

Hell, why do people trust them with their kids at daycare?

Taking a different path on this topic... I hope a mistrial doesn't slow down Patrick from starting defamation lawsuits against all the TikTok detectives who decided that... not only was he the actual murderer of his children... he was also sexually assaulting his daughter

Esp that Real Desperate Housewife bitch Lisa Rinna

That is not what I said at all, and you know it. This whole topic has turned into "boys rule, girls drool."

This is what I said:

I do not know Lindsay Clancy. I stated that numerous people on the witness stand went to bat for her. This is factually correct.

If a man killed 3 kids, almost every person on this board would support his immediate torture and execution, regardless of his mental state, because he killed 3 kids.

American women, on the other hand, claim to be equal to or better than men at everything and yet think some sort of hormonal imbalance justifies the premeditated murder of 3 kids. Which is it? Are you a strong and independent woman or are you someone so weak that you cannot accept agency or accountability for your actions?
