I have a 2024 LT with the 3.0 Duramax. 24k miles and absolutely love it, no issues at all other than a bit of oil consumption but not to a worrying degree.
Truck gets ~30 mpg consistently at 73 mph on flat ground. Can’t beat that with a stick. Most long trips I average 26.5-29.
I would recommend getting the multi flex tailgate, the truck that I bought was built with it and I didn’t really care and thought it was kind of a gimmick, but it has proven to be incredibly useful and very cleverly designed in my opinion.

I have 0% interest in buying a Chevy

0% interest rate at this time of highest interest rates since Covid times means the vehicle price is very high. Chevy is not financing at negative margin (they borrow above 0% and would not charge 0%). Might want to shop around for better pricing?
Wtf is up with you people in this thread acting like 0% interest is some rip off

You do know they jack the price up when offering 0% interest? It’s not the deal you think it is.

I see GM is offering 0% interest for 5 years on a brand new 1500 model.
There is a reason they are doing this.

I'm on my second 3.0, 97k on the first with 0 issues. Almost 60k on my current one, 0 issues. Great fuel mileage, pulls the few pieces of equipment i have just fine.
Drivetrain is great but I don't like the seats or the radio. Seats are very uncomfortable on long trips and the radio has many glitches.

Reading this thread I'm understanding that some people don't get what you are saying. The dealerships jack the selling price up and make their money off the initial sale vs making it off of interest paid back over the course of the loan. Zero percent offers are just slick marketing. You are still paying the same price overall in the end.

I get what they're saying but some are acting as if it is the equivalent of financing a car at JD Byrider.

What you gonna do about a transmission sport?
I don’t think there’s a single powertrain I trust for any brand in the full size market right now and that includes SUVs.
This is going to remembered as the lost era for trucks and SUVs due to the government CAFE changes like what happened with muscle cars in the early 70s.

On my second 3.0 Silverado as well
Fantastic truck. 3.0 is the best engine going for anybody not towing > 7,000 lbs.
Smooth, quiet and great mpg. Tows my full size bassboat like it’s not back there.
Best truck out there.
Would just recommend a full drain/refill of the trans fluid every 50K miles if towing on a regular basis. But ten-speed trans is solid match for the 3.0.

I know the 6.2l and 4 banger engines are Jonk, and the 5.3 lacks power.

Because I watch the bond market closely, and ain’t no way in this life auto OEMs or dealers are financing vehicles at a loss. They typically make far more financing a vehicle than on the vehicle itself.
Would be like extorting the mafia, cats chasing dogs or Canes giving away Caniacs fantasies.
Bottom line…is their bottom line. With 0% financing, your are paying would-be financing costs in the price now. Even better for them (all that would-be financing costs all at once and up front).
The pricing must be sky high.

But this was before truck prices got stupid high. Sale price of my truck back then was about 36k before TTL.
That's almost a $70k truck today. That was a lot to pay for a vehicle back then.

Might want to find out if GM fixed their POS transmissions as well. The decline in quality (along with exorbitant pricing) is why I am now driving a Tundra after driving GM trucks for 30 years.
GM will have to prove reliability before I purchase another vehicle from them. Its a shame what they did to their own brand.

Do you realize that based on inflation over the last 25 years, that $36K in 2001 is the equivalent of $68K today. $36K was absolutely an expensive arse truck in 2001

I think OP can see perfectly well what the asking price is and determine whether it’s a good deal or not.
Y’all are acting like companies never give favorable terms on items to pump out inventory.
