Isn't it also a recommended $20K belt replacement at 150k miles...or something like that? I was looking at used models last year and that started me away.

You have an extra 0 in there. It's around $2-3000

Along with several other issues with trucks in the last decade and a half, blame the government.

For profit companies make “Favorable terms” for profit. It’s relative, it’s marketing, and it sounds it is working. Feel the ‘good’ deal…Hand them nice profit. Win-win? They do when you think so. 0% financing ain’t win-win in for profit. Promise.

According to your logic nobody should ever buy anything if the seller makes a profit.

I just had the 6.2 on my 2022 replaced under recall. Took months as they were on back order.

That’s all I got for you.

0% financing is loss for auto OEM. Beware of the good deal.

Using your sarcasm, end the deal now, and hug your local Chevy Dealership GM. Gonna need it.

Wonder if anyone looked at just replacing their engines with a crate engine, fully built, for about the same price, and be done with GM bullshite. Transmission options also. We shouldn't have to resort to this for quality by the way. Should be good with OEM.

Obviously hasn't driven one. I went to a GMC 1500 with 5.3 from two Ford f-150s with 3.5 EcoBoost. 5.3 has just as much power, towing, and gas mileage is almost exactly the same.

I have a 19 Suburban with the 5.3 with 157k miles and a rebuilt transmission, with the way that technology is going in these vehicles (remote disablement) I will be throwing in a crate motor and aftermarket transmission when the time comes.

So let me get this straight, baws on here that change trucks like they change their underwear and get a new truck every 40-60k miles are bitching about something that doesn’t need changed until 150k miles and is a $2500 job at the dealer? lol

95% of guys won’t drive a new vehicle until 150k miles.

Just remember that 0% is great but there’s no such thing as 0%. It’s subsidized by the purchase price.

The point he’s trying to make here is that 0% financing means that $50k truck they would sell you with 2.99% is now going to be bottom dollar sold at $51,500 because they are increasing the price about the same as their cost to internally finance it to you. 3% of $50k is $1,500.

So you maybe able to finance it for 2% and save money.

Those numbers are mostly made up I have looked into actual interest rates.

Amen brotha!

When I was driving 40 miles each way to work I was getting 31 mpg. I recently retired am still getting ~24 mpg around town. I have had no issues to date. Hope that keeps up because I got a 1000 miles ahead of me next week on vacation.
