Me and my FIL always had an odd relationship. He is not the most friendly person, but on occasion asks me to fish a bass tournament or come over to hang out with his buddies when he cooks wild game. But I have always got the feeling that he doesn't like me that much.

My MIL and I have a better relationship than me and my mother have. My FIL and BIL are both great people too. I only have one in law I really don’t care for only because she’s a weirdo

My MIL is great. She has her own house on our property (20 acres) so she does what she pleases.

I wish I had met my FIL. He was murdered when my wife (no pics) was 7. I've been universally told he was a great guy and I would have enjoyed getting to be around him.

My BIL is a complete tool. 40 years old, can't/won't hold a job for any length of time and sponges off his mama. Naturally, he has a kid with a woman he's not married to (to be fair, he didn't want kids, I firmly believed she trapped him and I have zero idea why) and lives on food stamps. He and his partner insisted we all take COVD tests before they came over for Christmas. The ironic part is that her mother just tested positive last week. Yeah, I might have lost my shite just a little over their unmitigated gall.

I was looking for the trashy family Christmas thread to tell that story, but I didn't see one this year. Or is that reserved only for Thanksgiving?

Mine are awesome because I don't have any.

My Ex InLaws were great, until the divorce. They won't ever speak to me again, which is fine.

In-Laws are great. Truly look at them as a second set of parents.

My 2nd wife's parents were great. They have both passed away from natural causes.

My 1st wife blames me for her parent's deaths.

In laws are good, hardworking people. FIL is perpetually negative and has made it a mission in life to emotionally punish my MIL for mistakes she made 20 years ago. I resent him for that because he should have left then if he couldn’t forgive her.

One sis in law is great, but her live in coparent ex husband is a jackass. Other SIL is hard to pin down, she’s cool sometimes, but keeps all her feelings inside so you never really know how she is feeling. Her husband is a good dude, both are super lib, though.

That said, they’re more functional than my family, so I appreciate that.

My in-laws fricking rule.

I love going to their house for extended periods of time. Good food, good booze, they're quiet but smart folks. They love to take over parenting duties. It's like a vacation going to their house.

Mine are awesome. That’s part of picking the right girl, you’re picking her family too

Not for me, my FIL passed away earlier this year and we moved to be with my MIL. We just moved into their rent house and are building our dream home right across the street. MIL is the best.

I like mine. My mother-in-law can be ridiculous sometimes, but in a good way (just call her out on here nonsense and laugh at her). They’re good people and good to me thus far — I couldn’t have asked for better.

Sister-in-law is fine and the younger brother I always call “the little brother I never wanted”, but he’s a good dude too.

My in laws were great. They always treated me like one of the family from the beginning. My Mother in law died the same year my mom died, within a month of one another. Was tough times. Father in law is in his final days as his health fails. I miss them both and what they added to our lives.
