Yes, a lot of them were also described as being pregnant.
Remember when it was proven that the only way to create a pregnant or hanging chad as to stiff 4-6 ballots into the selection apparatus, and amazingly almost ALL of these hanging and pregnant chads were in the favor of Al Gore. Just a stunning, shocking coincidence

Wouldn’t be surprised if China is involved. They’ve been active in Chad and their oil for awhile.

This was my first thought as well.

Hmm, Chad and China are heavily involved with each other. China has offered up military aid to do counter-terrorism work there. They also have invested heavily in modernizing the infrastructure of Chad.
Slowly, but surely, China is cutting its dependence on US O&G imports. Wonder if Xi gave whoever the leader of Chad is the ol wink and nod to make this move. He probably said "Just take over Exxon's refineries. What are they gonna do?"

That 28,000 BOPD is gonna go to 0 by this time next year if it’s run by an African government.
This. And we can only hope that certain key suppliers will refuse to sell equipment to them and not allow technical employees to go over and help with issues while this turns to shite

China has also armed Sudanese rebels who have threatened Chad in the last. China is acting how the US did in Latin America. Creating problems to then solve for the country forcing a relationship. All the while paying off those at the top.
China helped fund the pipeline mentioned in the article. It was originally funded by the world bank but after issues of where the money was actually going, Chad turned to China who doesn’t care about those details.

There are several African countries that are basically Chinese puppets now. Not sure if Chad is one of them but this definitely reeks of Chinese continued frickery in our energy supply.

Environmental disasters to ensue.
Not that Chad or China would give two shits. Contaminated rivers and drinking water? Those two governments will give zero fricks.

Unless the plan is to let the CCP operate those assets. Which is probably what is going to happen.
China is acting just like the US did for most of the 20th century. But we are now too soft and politicians are too compromised to do anything about it. We are a second tier world power to China right now but no one wants to admit it.
