I haven’t followed his career, but I do remember he was one of only a handful of people that ever made Anne Robinson laugh as the stern hostess on the original “Weakest Link”.
She asked him if he was a natural redhead. His quick response was “The carpet matches the drapes”.

To quote the Canadian philosopher, Fred Eaglesmith:
But fame doesn't take away the pain, it just pays the bills
And you wind up on alcohol and pills

That's terrible. Suicide/mental health/depression is one of the very few things I don't joke about. Just goes to show money and fame doesn't mean happiness.
Hope he gets the help he needs.

Men dont usually "attempt" suicide if they are serious about it.
This isnt some jab at Carrot Top. Just the truth.
Men will just shoot themselves in the head.
Women almost NEVER shoot themselves. Lots of reasons why. They are actually hoping they dont succeed. Or they care about the way they will look, even in death. Or they just want the attention from it. Lots of reason.
You rarely hear of men attempting it and not succeeding. Grateful that happend for him. Hope he finds peace.

No shortage of heartless/douchey responses in this thread.
Some people have gone through shite you can't even imagine.

I’m not talking about CT specifically and I’m not condoning suicide know too many people that have done it. In my experience the ones who talk about it or attempt it wanted attention the ones who you would never expect it from that seemed confident and kinda like they had their shite together. They managed to get it done pretty quickly and effectively.
Keep digging that hole clown

These artistic types often struggle with mental health. Their mind seems to work differently. They seem to be prone to addiction as well.

Speaking as someone who lost one of my best friends to suicide, you can go frick yourself.

You only know who he is b/c of the person he is physically, mentally, and spiritually.
His “success” is directly tied to all 3.
So he either continues to assume being that person or decides to stop being, period.
His “ailment” is not something new that hasn’t played out over thousands of years
What the frick are you even trying to say?

Perhaps related to this, if not already mentioned:
Carrot Top, the comedian currently recovering from a suicide attempt, has been accused of sexual exploitation as part of an ongoing lawsuit.
The new allegation comes in a declaration that 25-year-old Zachary Defazio filed on Monday, September 14, to support a federal lawsuit that singer Brian Evans filed against Carrot Top according to Orlando Weekly. In his declaration, Defazio called himself "a second independent victim" of the comedy star, whose real name is Scott Thompson.

Not to be morbid, in your "dead pool" picks, which ginger did you have?
Carrot Top?
Axel Rose?
Daily Double?

He's worth 70 million. What are you worth?
Isn’t this clearly the problem in this discussion? Some people really believe that money and fame are their worth. I think it is quite obvious that Carrot Top does not feel that way, atm. Out of him and any of us, only he has any life experience with it. We have empirical evidence galore that fame and monetary worth may greatly increase the chances of a life ending in destruction.
But you would have no problem handling it, I’m sure. ????
