I have a sister that would fail a dishwasher class.

She will routinely fill up the dishwasher and run a cycle, take out only a few dishes and leave all the silverware in the dishwasher.

So, I go looking for a fork or spoon, they are not in the drawer. They are all in the dishwasher, piled in with fifty bowls and plates and cups gallaore.

I tell her she should empty it completely before doing another load, but she insists on doing it her way.

Also, in the Grinds my gears catalog, since when did manufacturers stop producing the powder in the box. Now all I find at Walmart are those expensive dishwasher pods. Even the Walmart brand is expensive.

Give me powder.

And the AC thermostat does not have absolute zero setting (Kelvin) even though she aims for it.

Get rid of the dishwasher and have her do them by hand for a year. She'll learn to load it correctly once that happens.

We've had the "dishwasher is broken" conversation before in which I had to demonstrate that some prewashing is necessary.
my favorite is when I see a casserole pan going in that clearly has burned in food fused to the sides or bottom.

I don't know what's she's expecting to happen to that in the dishwasher.

It's a design flaw with all women, they're incapable of loading the dishwasher correctly.

I've given up and tell her to leave the dishes in the sink, I'll take care of it.

Pick your battles.

Wife cleans the dishes before they go into the dishwashing machine. So, there is no "clean or dirty." She basically uses it as a sterilizer. I use "dirty" dishes out of the dishwasher all the time because they are handwashed clean before going in.

It’s a universal trait.

I put each type of silverware in its own part of the basket so I don’t have to sort it when I put it away then she comes in behind me and just puts other silverware in wherever. It drives me absolutely insane.

Also, they never seem to grasp that if you rinse and give a cursory wipe before putting them in, the dishwasher won't smell like death from disgusting food remnants.

Mine can't load, but she rinses so thoroughly that if she'd just use soap, we wouldn't even need a dishwasher.

My wife is pretty good at loading the dishwasher. She doesn't understand covering food in the microwave, though. I'll get home from a few days of hunting and the house will be spotless. I'll check the microwave and it'll look like somebody blew up a squirrel in there.

Sounds like you should do the dishes.

THIS!!!

It's a trigger for me if I'm walking through the kitchen and I hear the spray arm constantly banging into something coming from the dishwasher.

My wife is not allowed to load the dishwasher anymore. I load, she unloads and puts everything away. Works great.

Funny how this is such a common issue between men and women. There’s got to be some kind of lesson to be learned here.

My fiancée gets determined to mow the yard sometimes, one of the most spastic exercises of insight into how women's brains function that you will ever witness.
