1) more died then they let on
2) they reached heard immunity
3) because china developed it.... they already had a vaccine or were close to having it and already secretly gave it out....but didnt share as they are happy how the west is fricking their economies trying to prevent cases....
china does not care about their masses, they have too many people and they are expendable.

I know someone who lives there - last I heard it was getting back to normal and that was several months ago

Good friend of mine works in plastics and deals with China daily, he said it's still bad there.
Anyone who travels in China must quarantine 14 days so most people have stopped

But if so it's because they possess a totalitarian socioeconomic system that allows for complete and indefinite lockdown, which we do not want here anyway - but may be useful during a pandemic.

Chinese raw material demand seems to be back to pre pandemic levels mostly. The same seems to be holding true for Japan and India as well to some extent based on data from the last few weeks. Contrast this to the west where demand is still well below pre pandemic levels. This could be because they are choosing to live with the virus for now and continue life unlike the democratic governors in the US and some of the western leaders, but it's one of the few indicators we can look at with a closed totalitarian government.

Reports are that China is trying to steal the covid vaccine secrets. Based on that I'd say they need a vaccine.
