You talking about the stupid flag on the top!? Me too. It’s a worldwide symbol of oppression!

Speaking of flags, I live downtown close to the courthouse and will be out of town this weekend. Guess I have to take my Trump flag down so my house isn't vandalized while I'm gone because people are talking about protesting this weekend over this.

You do realize this statue is on Ryan Street - the back of the family court/clerk's building across the street from the main courthouse, right?

Just a little FY: The greater the distance (i.e. more words) between “realize” and “, right?” the less punch with which your point lands. Granted, only fricking lazy hacks resort to using this passive aggressive, pretentious form, but it appears my linguistic philanthropy only goes so far.

Stout, just an fyi, there will mostly likely be extra police presence for the downtown area this weekend due to this drama.

Thanks. I should clarify that I won't be out of town but rather I will be an hour away working on some property I am developing while my wife is here alone. I'd rather take the flag down than have her have to potentially deal with a mob. The last protest walked right by our house. I imagine this one will too.

It’s pretty obvious that O supports Marxism. I agree with poster above, it should be voted on by the people and maybe the monument needs it own place, not by the courthouse.

The monument doesn't celebrate. It commemorates ordinary men who fought for their people and their homeland. The Civil War was horrific. Nobody won anything.

Oh well. A vote was taken and they voted for it to stay.

The 0 bitch doesn’t like this because the vote didn’t go the way she wanted. Now 0 will find other ways to take the statue down since the democratic process didn’t work in her favor.

Is Calcasieu a French or Indian name?

For those unfamiliar with its whereabouts it borders the Sabine River and TX state line.

It's also the coolest sounding name for parish/county nationwide. KAL-KA-SHOO. Love that.
