Beat me to it. Every war has winners and losers. Indians were outgunned and outnumbered and they managed to put up one hell of a fight.
In terms of moral relativism, Indian tribes were fricking savage. They enslaved, raped and murdered so forget that peace loving, one with nature bullshite.
Those statues weren't made to celebrate what peachy fellows those Indians were. They were put up to honor them as warriors.
