re: Mazda vs Toyota/Honda

Having owned both, I would never buy another Mazda. The tail lights were melting in my Mazda CX-7, so I brought it back to the dealership because it was under warranty and they basically told me 'tough sh&t'. They made no effort to help me, so I traded it in a week later. It randomly wouldn't start sometimes, too. Total POS.
Toyota is far superior to a Mazda on so many levels.
She is my SO's cousin and lived down the road from us for a while. Hopefully, she will use this temporary "fame" to turn her life around.

if this dude just paid the taxes, then, well, all he did was just help out whomever held title by paying their taxes. If he bought it at the tax sale, then most states allow for a 2 year redemption for the owner to redeem the sale, at 1.5% interest per month. If the sale is not redeemed, the tax sale purchaser can request a tax deed, but even then, he/she does not necessarily hold 100% fee simple title. There needs to be a quiet title action confirming that the purchaser now holds complete fee simple title.
I know that is a lot of info, but honestly, I don’t know that this executor has much to stand on.

As someone who sells adjudicated property in Louisiana, this is accurate. Someone can pay taxes on anothers property every year for years and not have ownership of the property. You can buy the tax liens through a tax lien sale, but there is still an enormous amount of administrative work to acquire a property and, even then, the title isn't clear and subject to future lawsuits.
I received a 35% pay raise in June and I can't tell it even happened. I thought I'd be able to at least save more, but sadly that won't happen anytime soon.
So many cute babies!
Here is my baby girl when she was a pup.
Between his effed up brow bone and the lumps in his neck, he strongly favors Quasimodo. That dude gives me the creeps.

My sweet girl, Piper. My one year old Golden.
Call me a sap, but I get emotional when I see old news reels of the devastation of our city in the days after Laura. The worry about my SO because he had to stay behind, the worry about the state of my home while being 6 hours away, the nearly 4 weeks of no electricity, and the many months of rebuilding all come to my mind. It was definitely the most difficult of times I have ever experienced.

Local Media Does Their Job

Long story short, woman reaches out to KPLC to report that she was pulled over by a potential imposter of a police officer who was rude to her during the stop, KPLC digs deeper and come to find out it was a LSP trooper who had it all on dash and body cameras. The video at the top of this article is must-see when they compare her story to what actually happened. KPLC
KPLC posted about this incident on their Facebook page earlier and of course this POS has a few knuckleheads who are defending him.
Meanwhile, the I-10 bridge in Lake Charles is on the verge of disaster. I'm glad to see our priorities are intact.
About 10 months ago, we were one of the lucky ones canceled by Maison when it was time for our renewal. One week they sent us a letter stating how they loved taking care of our insurance needs and the next week a letter of nonrenewal. We had no other affordable choice but to get Citizens. They are more than double what we were paying with Maison, but more reasonable than any other quotes we received for the same coverage.

It's crazy because I've never had this burweed in my lawn before this year and it has taken over nearly a third of my front yard. I applied some Scott's Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed (Sam's has it on sale) and it seems to be doing some work on them.

I know a dozen people that have been infected with Omicron so far, and they're ALL vaccinated.

I don't personally know any purebloods in my family/circles that have been infected.

As a few days ago, I could say this exact thing, but unfortunately now I can't due to my recent rona diagnosis. I'm unvaccinated. I will say this though, every vaccinated person that I know (personal/work) who has come down with this virus in the past month, which is nearly a dozen, has had more severe of a reaction to it than me. I literally had a little cough and body aches. On the flip sde, all of the vaccinated have been down and out. It has definitely hit them harder than me. It's crazy because I probably would have never known I had it if I hadn't tested.
This outage may have also taken down the Chick-fil-A app yesterday.

This country as a whole has gone full crazy with this virus. I truly believe the new norm is COVID boosters every year.

A booster 3 or 4 times a year just to be sure.

If this parade is too much for NOPD to handle, how in the ever loving frick would they be able to handle Mardi Gras?

SWLA is in the same predicament for Mardi Gras. As of right now, due to a shortage of law enforcement, Mardi Gras parades will most likely be shortened.
I heard some dipsh*t on Fox News spew this same crap earlier. These people obviously don't know what the average American is financially going through right now. These $200/week grocery shopping trips are killing me. I don't have any extra money for anything these days.

Man, reading this thread makes me realize how godawful lazy and indirect most women really are.

I usually go wrap my leg around my SO while laying in bed, or if we are not in the bed already, I just ask "you wanna go in the room?". Works like a charm.
