Anybody else notice these commercials every holiday season? Every other commercial is “if you don’t buy jewelry, you suck and you hate your wife. Buy her jewelry to show how much she means to you”

Get ready to empty your pockets baws. Guilt marketing on full blast this holiday season.

My wife and I spend about $150 on each other for Christmas and that's mostly so my kids have something to give us

The new Infinity commercial has everything a 2017 commercial has to have. Interracial couple and worthless/inept husband/dad that can't do anything right.

My wife thinks it’s a waste of money. She has her engagement/wedding ring so doesn’t want any more rings. She wanted a tennis bracelet years ago and I bought her that. A few years ago she wanted a heart necklace, so I bought her that. That’s about it in 22 years. I’m a lucky guy.

No woman wants an Ever Us two stone ring (“A diamond for your best friend; a diamond for your true love”). They’re ugly, and have shitty quality diamonds. Don’t fall for it.

I got my wife a ring when I proposed and that's the last piece of expensive jewelry I'll ever buy her. I think the diamond standard is ridiculous and working with people across the world has shown me how Americanized it is. Why spend $1000 or more on something that gets occasionally worn just to feel fancy or flaunt money? It's a total waste of money.

I know a guy who buys his wife thousands in jewelry every Christmas but can't afford to go out to eat lunch sometimes at work.

It's not the men who fall for it. Women see it and expect it. Then get disappointed if it doesn't play out like in the commercials.

Wife gets sullen and withholds. Man gets fed up and starts schtuping a chick at work. Divorce ensues. Cycle starts over when the chick at work expects a diamond necklace for the following christmas.

Rinse and repeat. Thanks Jared.

Don't fall for that. As a woman, those commercials piss me off too. I never want jewelry.

I bought my wife thousands of dollars of jewelry (engagement/wedding ring). Seeing what that did to our sex life there's no way I'm doing that again
