Blows my mind that Billy’s, Don’s, Kartchner’s, whatever haven’t made a Buccee’s style stop on the Lafayette side of the Basin Bridge.

They should buy that land with the goofy water slide.

That’s on the west side of Lafayette closer to Lake Chuck.

And I heard it was opening this year anyways…..

Weren’t they eying land for a similar location near Lafayette about 10 years ago?

I seem to remember reading about it here, baws getting excited about a new hunting stop, it fell through, another La location east of BR was discussed, that fell through…they said frick La and started opening stores elsewhere.

Am I having false memories?

The realty company that has had signs out there for a few years has a logo that looks like a steampunk dick

This is sort of nitpicking, but Louisiana Ave. is Lafayette and nowhere near Breaux Bridge.

The perfect location would be Gramercy.
You know that exit where there is a sign that says "last services 12 miles" or something. Then you get off to go get gas and have to drive TEN miles to airline to get it. F that exit. Lots of land. Put a Buccees there.

I pray to baby jesus they don't put it in St. Martin Parish.
Ideally, LA Ave is the right spot. Tons of other stuff nearby for travelers already plus a good spot for the locals. Hope it happens because I need the brisket

If so, will be the trashiest Buc-ees within a year after opening.

Good spot, but only if nothing is available on I-12.

Perfect location. almost right between between Baytown and the new Mississippi location.

Louisiana ave is prime location for this. You catch all the I-10 east/west traffic and you also catch those coming on/off I-49.

Side note, I also think a location at Natchitoches would be great. It’s a good stop if you’re heading to or from Dallas from S Louisiana. I use to make that drive often and by the time you hit Natchitoches you’re ready to stretch the legs.

Funny that as soon as JBE leaves office, businesses start wanting to come back.

He was terrible for this state.

As someone who frequents that DAL to NOLA/Houma trip, I am actually shocked no one from Buc-ee's has not put Natchitoches on the map. Its literally the halfway point of the drive and the options there are bleak at best. Would literally eat all of 49's interstate commerce.

They were going to build on I-12 at millerville. Then they backed out and now it’s a stupid car stealership

I-49 from Opelousas to Natchitoches is brutal. There ain’t shite. They built a Loves outside of Alexandria which is decent but aside from that it’s garbage

The OT has really become a bunch of angry, bitter old women.

Remember when Top Golf would NEVER open a location in Baton Rouge or even anywhere in Louisiana?
