Selfishly, I think Jennings would be a better stop for it. That is the perfect distance in between Houston and BR that I want to stop at. If i am stopping in laffy, it is for boudin

i get why they'd rather be close to laffy. I still would think they would want to be on the scott side to catch the Houston to nola drivers that take 90

This is sound logic. Jennings isn't as bad as Breaux Bridge.

I don't know many that are getting off of I-10 in Scott to get to NOLA via 90. Just seems really unnecessary.

I dont understand why people say this. Its good road, no construction, seldom is there a wreck, and not very busy. Give me that over fricking i-12 any day of the week.

True but we’re more so referring to the lack of places to stop for a quick pee/snack/whatever.

I won’t stop in Alexandria if my life depended on it.

Awesome to see that area possibly draw in a Buccee’s. It’s a nice gas station for clean restrooms, and the food is nice as an option when traveling the highway.

However, just one mile North of the I-10/49 intersection is a Billy’s inside an Exxon station. I’m probably grabbing road food 9 times out of 10 from that place vs a Buccee’s in that same region.

More businesses and more options drawing in additional tax revenues is always a good thing, though.

Jennings already has too much at that exit. They can’t handle a buccees. The priority here is not catching Houston to Nola drivers. It’s catching Houston to Florida drivers. Also not as many people take Hwy 90 to Nola from Houston as you would think.

Its because there isn't a Buc-ee's. Lets see what happens where there is one.

my point is people driving from houston to new orleans aren't going to pass 90 to hit bucees and then turn around

i am sure they have done there research so who am i to question the beaver

Louisiana Avenue at I-10 is between Lafayette and Breaux Bridge.

that's a good location, the intersection/streets are already built up.

I'm not sure what this means. I may have misunderstood your other post about hwy 90.

The desire to "get" a Bucees in your area is the embodiment of all that is trashy, fat, and generic that is our current society.

The Athenians had the Acropolis. We have a big gas station with a rodent mascot.

you keep pooping at the hundred absolutely disgusting Pakistani gas stations along the I-10 corridor between NOLA and Orange and have a ball. enjoy smelling like fried chicken for three hours afterwards.

Buc-ee's has a good thing going, but they're on the fast track to becoming Walmart. Oversaturation is going to take away a lot of the allure of the joint.

its just boring and the reputation of a few of the speed trap towns along the stretch there. I get what youre saying though. Im the kind of person that when i need to stop i need to stop so its a bit tough not having many great options right off the road for that long.

A giant gas station with Chinese made trinkets, processed junk food, and clean bathrooms really is a big improvement over the places run by the diversity imported from Shithole-istan.

That's the point I was making. This is what our society has become.

The exit is going to need a lot of rainwater storage. The area is right next to a swamp and stays wet for 3 or 4 days after a medium sized shower.

Weren’t they eying land for a similar location near Lafayette about 10 years ago?

They were. I was told they backed off because they would have to spend a lot of money on stormwater infrastructure. Maybe it's a different plot that opened up and it could also be a political reason as well.

ah, well then i am in violent agreement with you. that said, i'll still gladly take the trinkets and clean bathrooms.

Buc-ees already has a state approved draining and water retention plan for that location.
