I'll never understand why so many "conservatives" support government overreach when it comes to smoking in bars.
The business owner should be responsible for his business choices. Let the free market decide the winners and losers.

Yes. If non smokers want a bar to be that way, it will if they are the majority of the patrons. If not anyone can start a non smoking bar and try to make a profit. Is anybody making y’all go in to these places against your will??

Smoking is disgusting and so 1950’s. Amazing that its allowed anywhere in 2017, esp. in public accommodations.

Again... this isn't about the "rights" of smokers vs. non-smokers. Stop trying to make it that.
This is about the government dictating what LEGAL actions a business owner can and can't allow on his own private entity.
I frequent about 5 different bars in BR. Only 1 allows smoking. I'd say that ratio is pretty accurate on a city-wide scale. Smoking in bars is going the way of the dinosaur naturally. There's no reason to open the door of government intrusion into private affairs.

I don’t smoke or drink, so I have no personal dog in this fight, but I think the issue of smoking in a bar or casino falls squarely in the “who gives a shite?” category of life.
I guess this is some sort of win for anti-smoking advocates. Sounds more like a nanny-state move, though. I mean, it’s a bar or a casino. Who the hell do you expect to run into in these places? Children? Health nuts? It’s looks like the Star Wars cantina scene in there. Let the misfits have their cigarettes. Damn.

Heard all the complaints before when Ohio passed there no smoking ordinance. Bars were going to close, lose money, don't go there if you don't smoke then, it should be up the the owner to let people smoke....yadda yadda yadda. It's been great. Bars and restaurants adapt. They built patios outside of the bars for people to go and smoke. Just can't do it inside. Every bar has some sort of patio now. Whether it's just a railing out front of a bar in a plaza or one built on the side of free standing establishments. Now the bad part will be when you go to Vegas or somewhere that allows smoking. It's pretty unbearable when you aren't around it everyday.

Yeah, and it only cost those bars tens of thousands of dollars to adapt to the new law by building patios. Sounds like a great deal for them.
