Bought a car from Vroom in November and still have not received plates. They say it is still working through the system and COVID is slowing down DMVs around the country. Anyone else having trouble getting new plates?

Sold a truck and bought a truck in Louisiana this year, and had no problem getting a plate. Went through an auto notary though.

I agree with what they are saying, but it shouldn’t take that long. I would press them a little harder about it. They are probably in violation of its own company policy about liens being perfected.

It's all temporary anyway.

My son bought himself a Jeep 9/1. We filed all the paperwork online for new title.

It came in 2/5.

My work bought a truck from Atlanta a while back. We've never gotten the plate, apparently its something between the dealer and the louisiana dmv. So it could be either, the dmv sucks and car dealers suck.

“Due to Covid” is the new excuse for EVERYTHING. I use it when my wife asks me why certain jobs around the house/yard haven’t been done in months.

I bought a new car in June 2020 and didn't get my plate until January 2021. Some of that was delay, and the dealership constantly saying their title company was behind. I think someone dropped the ball and shite fell through the cracks.

Covid.

That’s the excuse I hear for everything.

“Sorry, mister. The shake machine is broken because... Covid.”

You need to pay more in taxes if you want efficiencies.

It's all fun and games until you pulled over for expired temp tags and the state bills you again for sales tax and late registration.
