Not in my experience
Often the "playing possum" recipient knows exactly what is up but choses to act as tho they do not. For years cops did not prosecute certain scalpers with an unwritten quid pro quo for said scalpers alerting law enforcement to stolen or "hot" tickets.
With family from the east coast you always knew what goods "fell off a truck" and to claim the opposite later was just impossible.

So she gets to be all 3 branches of government by herself? Why do they need a legislative branch if she can make those decisions by herself?

I agree with this. And so would the OT if the DA was a different gender and race. But a black woman saying this automatically gets downvotes from the OT. It’s pathetic.
no. a better selection of laws would have gotten widespread support
legalizing minor theft, shoplifting, and allowing homeless people to stay in private citizens' homes overnight is going a bit far
pretty much everyone is going to agree with the iffy crimes like resisting (as a stand alone charge) or disorderly conduct, b/c these are 100% abused by LEO to frick over people who weren't committing the crimes LEO thought they were

Let's just tell the whole Boston population all the laws they can break without chance of prosecution. This new breed of progressives are savage.
And clueless
And clueless

Imagine owning a house in Boston that you rent out but live elsewhere. It’s vacant for a week or so and no one checks on it. Imagine that smell when you come back and then realize it’s legal.

She would not let that fly

doesn't have to be vacant.
so you can be sleeping upstairs and a person can "find refuge from the cold" downstairs and it's OK as long as nothing is broken

Breaking and entering — where it is into a vacant property or where it is for the purpose of sleeping or seeking refuge from the cold and there is no actual damage to property

This will be an interesting sociology experiment.

This is going to be the opposite effect of “broken windows policing”.
All kinds of shite will be done in Boston now that people know the chances of getting prosecuted are slim.

Well, no. What will happen is that businesses will take the law into their own hands. She'll try to prosecute them, and get jury nullification for her troubles.
You'll get the shite kicked out of you at some point.
Way to be a debbie downer after this great news from Boston.

If we incentivize something we get more of it.
If we dis-incentivize something we get less of it. It’s not an arguable point. Except by Progressive ideologues, who will argue Anything on any given day as their Fundamentalist faith requires. So incentivize theft and then act surprised when you get a shite ton more of it.

Breaking my lock would be actual damage, no?
Regardless, I’m coming out guns blazing in this instance.

Legislating right and wrong has never worked, will never work. If it did, no one would be in prison. If they make murder legal, would you go out and kill someone tomorrow?

yep, and the homeowner who does this will likely face stiffer penalties than the intrude in this arse backwards society.

Just went to Boston. Didn’t seem like a very crime ridden place. Pretty clean and not THAT busy. Not much if any culcha.
Will travel there again.

It's one thing to decide not to prosecute some of those crimes, it's another one to publicize it so that all the criminals know what they can get away with before hand.
Posted on 12/11/18 at 7:53 am to jbgleason
Lol no prosecution for stealing, breaking and entering, dealing drugs, or resisting arrest. Here’s your free pass criminals, go destroy Boston
