If these are no longer crimes, crime rate will obviously go down.
Win/win!
In all seriousness, this is an experiment and it has potential to either be really bad or really good. Too many people (poor, inner city) are locked up on simple charges, and they burden the CJ System. Let’s see how this plays out.

Progs never learn the lessons we are meant to learn. Progs start at confused, progress to befuddlement and end somewhere near fugue state.
These crimes are now publicly declared a growth industry in Boston. Congratulations on the plunging quality of life and increased criminality, Bean town. Good luck, small business and anybody who believes in private property.

Whatever happened to cutting off hands with a machete for stealing, and death by guillotine for trespassing

Worth a shot. You may be surprised about that crime rate. Instead of sending people to prison to learn more about becoming a criminal as well as making it very difficult for them to get a job, make them donsome community service and try to actually rehab them into society. The end goal shouldn’t be punishment but a more peaceful and prosperous community as a whole. Why not try something different.
Because selectively enforcing laws is equal to tyranny!

some of these don't make sense
these are very, uh, questionable. i only highlighted the threats b/c it specifically excludes DV scenarios. that carve out is illogical
the theft ones are terrible
and i didn't list it, but pos w intent is borderline, but why not just go all the way to distribution? the only difference is drugs changing hands, so why stop at pos w intent? i'm not saying some PWI crimes aren't over-blown, but she's declining to prosecute on ALL of them

Breaking and entering — where it is into a vacant property or where it is for the purpose of sleeping or seeking refuge from the cold and there is no actual damage to property
Wanton or malicious destruction of property
Threats – excluding domestic violence
Trespassing
Shoplifting (including offenses that are essentially shoplifting but charged as larceny)
Larceny under $250

I'm fine with declining to prosecute these particular crimes. However, not prosecuting a breaking and entering or shoplifting? What in the hell...?

I’d say you are squarely in befuddlement. In that delicate area where everything you know about human nature and criminology is suspended in favor of Progressive Orthodoxy. Although I do respect your commitment to your Fundamentalist religion. You Faith is a strong faith.

yeah some are probably good, like the very subjective ones cops use when they can't catch people committing real crimes (disorderly conduct, resisting, etc)
but when you're talking about actual theft charges? sure there may be socioeconomic factors in play for the defendant, but you have an actual victim as well. telling them to resolve it civilly is insane because that's not an adequate protection of their property
the B&E is the worst though. it's legal to break into a residence to "avoid the cold" as long as you don't break anything. wtf

Hmmmm.... talking about serving her community. I could guess which part of town the majority of these crimes are committed.

I’ll dumb it down for you later. Now let the adults talk .

receiving stolen property is often a BS charge with an unwitting recipient. most states don't require knowledge that it's stolen

Let's see what they do to a property owner defending his property.
