re: Boston DA lists crimes she won’t prosecute

The right to private property is the single most important right we have. If you steal someone’s property you are essentially stealing their labor and their time, which is their most critical asset. That obviously tends to make people desperate and angry . And leads to violence and dissolution of the social contract. You HAVE to support laws that defend private property ownership above all else or you get absolute societal chaos.

I bet supervisor approval is auto-obtained if suspect is white.

I see they excluded the portion where she turned to her supporters and said "unless the person is white" the all bets are off.

There's a loophole.

Shoplifting (including offenses that are essentially shoplifting but charged as larceny)
Larceny under $250
shite is gonna hit the fan when some armed shop owner or homeowner defends themself because the DA refuses to

As stated several times in this, the "victimless" crimes make a ton of sense to me.
Not prosecuting these is great:
I also think drug possession with intent to distribute should be broken into tiers. If you get caught with a couple crack rocks to sell, sure, don't prosecute. You get caught with a trunk full of heroin, you need to be prosecuted.
Not prosecuting these is great:
quote:
-Disorderly conduct
-Disturbing the peace
-Receiving stolen property (if they didn't steal it themselves)
-Minor driving offenses, including operating with a suspend or revoked license
-Breaking and entering — where it is into a vacant property or where it is for the purpose of sleeping or seeking refuge from the cold and there is no actual damage to property, Wanton or malicious destruction of property
-Minor in possession of alcohol
-Drug possession
-A stand alone resisting arrest charge

Ummmmm not if you are white, and blacks want what you have. Duh Example: South Africa

Wait, stealing items with a value of under $250 is legal in Boston?

People are grown ups. If they want to do heroin, they can do heroin. If they don’t want to, they don’t need a law to tell them that.
Now this isn’t the correct way to do it, but just the principle behind it.

Because there isn't quality control.
If they aren't going to prosecute it, then legalize it. But you can't have people selling "hot shots" to people.
I agree, in a sense, with what you're saying. I'm a personal liberty advocate and think most drugs should be legal and taxed. But if you're toting enough dirty heroin to kill the Eastern sea board, you should be arrested and thrown in jail. Just IMO.

Why have any kind of laws then? Why require a Drivers Lic, and Car Ins to operate a veh?

Yeah, out of all of these, that is clearly the most absurd to me.
There are flat screen televisions that cost less than that. Best Buy and Wal Mart are going to love this law

Also, can we talk about how you're reading a website with a banner headline saying "BLUE LIVES MATTER"
That has an obvious typo in the very first sentence.
The parent website, "Defense Maven", has this self-characterization statement:
quote:
Breaking news and stories from law enforcement advocates to military weaponry
Are you a cop or something?

Solid gold. Ya might wanna look in the mirror there, MAGA boy.

Fine, but don't go to to the hospital if you OD and can't pay for it out of pocket or have insurance to cover the costs of your medical bills.

Ditto. Even small abrogations of property rights - or in this case, a willingness to overlook infringement of property rights - will have strong second- and third-order consequences.

This is stupid. There is no such thing. You have to be under arrest for some other charge to "resist arrest". It's an add on to something else. If a cop is stupid enough to only charge someone with resisting, it should be thrown out of any court in the nation.

Just looking out for her constituent base (who probably don't vote), but you're picking up what I'm putting down.
