as someone who is moving from Birmingham, AL to Kerrville tomorrow, I can assure you - it is a great area

We actually stayed in Kerrville. We were there for a friend's 90th birthday party. I'm sure Kerrville has its positives, but we weren't too impressed with the city. We moved over to a great B&B in Fredericksburg for a couple of nights.

Fredericksburg is fun - my sis in law and her husband live in Kerrville, and the wife and I have spent time visiting. ill be 50 this year, and ready to live a slower pace of life - remote work makes it easier to do.

You were going to Fredericksburg. What the heck did you think you were going to do if not go on a wine tasting tour. Did you do no research and just go along for the ride?

You're right. I can spend a whole day in the museum while my wife hits the boutiques on Main Street. Visit any of the number of biergartens throughout the city. Eat at a nice restaurant. We always spend several hours at Lukenbach drinking beer, listening to music and meeting people.

I've been to Fredericksburg several times. I know what's there, and I know what I like and don't like.

We are out there a couple of times a year and rarely go into F'burg unless we need to hit HEB. And we do breweries, distilleries and various bars outside of town but never wine. Although my wife said we need to go to William Chris sometime. I have noticed many of the wineries are brewing beer now.

My opinion on various wines.

Jewish: "Schlomo, "when are you taking me to Miami Beach".

Georgia: " These here muscadines from 2012 were a good year".

Texas: "Why can't we even play in the SEC championship after paying millions"?

Kentucky: "Our wine is brown and the good stuff is 105 proof and up".
