Then what are they?
Jfc your constituents have repeatedly said itt they are law enforcement. Not police officers. There is a difference

What do police officers do?

like the woman who was assualted was doing?
The one that was walking directly at the agent before being shoved back? Like I said, attempting to physically confront law enforcement is not protected under the 1A.
quote:
so, in your opinion, would this threshold, as you explain it here in your own words, apply to Jan. 6th?
The people who were simply present, did not destroy or deface property, did not confront law enforcement. People who were also charged for simply being there or in the vicinity. You might really want to think about the nuances here, your "gotchas" fall appart pretty quickly otherwise.
quote:
at the time of the confrontation, he was "stayed put" until he comes to the defense of the woman who was assaulted... a normal response for most guys, me included...
The video shows he stepped up and put his hands on the agent who, at that point had legally and correctly moved thst woman from being confrontational. At that instant, he fricked up and so would you in the same circumstance. Most rational, well educated guys would know not to do that but maybe you just weren't raised that well.
quote:
so, if a woman hits you, you are hitting them back?
Yes. Same as if they had a weapon, I'm drawing and shooting same as I would anyone else. Women don't get a pass for being violently offensive. I bet you're the type of trash that thinks men are never victims of domestic violence too.
quote:
again, if you watch that video, and you think Pretti is the agitator, once that woman is shoved, then you aren't being honest... the man was maced immediately after positioning himself between the woman and the person who pushed her
I've watched the video multiple times. First the women attempted to confront the agent that then shoved her back. He had every right to do that as she was attempting to interfere. Most rational people look at the totality of the events, not just a few chosen seconds. Suggest you go find more video to watch since you don't seem to be aware of key facts.

They can investigate all they want. The SCOTUS has long ruled. And even expanded the protections.
Performing duty to exercise warrants for arrests? Yes they are.
The leadership created and environment that is dangerous and agents are being injured. If it continues, more people are going to die due to this. Even the Chicago PD chief understands this:
This isn't hard.
But it's not. Read the SCOTUS rulings. It's not even really debatable in the environment that has been created by the leaders in MN

Is there evidence that ICE is acting legally. IF you believe that they are shooting legitimate protesters when they are not threatened, then you might think so.

We cannot become a society where we just decide to take everything in our own hands and start to commit crimes against law enforcement! It is a crime. You may not like what they’re doing. I can understand that there’s a lot of emotions out there, but that does NOT mean that you get to commit a crime, especially one that could lead to deadly force. We need to keep everyone safe. Our responsibilities when it comes to federal agents, and I’ve been asked these questions, we do not interfere with the duties and responsibilities of federal agents.
This isn't hard.

I think the State government has the right to prevent and investigate criminal behavior by federal officers.
Article VI, Clause 2 does not address that.
They don't, Supreme Court ruled in 1890 that it violates the Supremacy Clause.
A federal Marshall shot and killed a former California Chief Justice on a train, court ruled California could not charge him since he was performing his federal duties at the time.

The same people who told us cops were indiscriminately killing black people in the streets are back in this thread telling us this choir boy was executed for doing nothing but coming to the aid of a damsel in distress.
Do y’all ever get tired of being simpletons?

That’s a bit of an oversimplification. A federal court would look to see if the act was both 1) within the scope of their official duties AND 2) a reasonable act under the circumstances. A no to either and a federal officer can be charged with a state crime

Is there something wrong with your vision? Woman got shoved down for blowing a whistle. Dude got shot after they removed his gun. Straight up murder. But of course they were Dems, so that is A-OK with you. Did the dude have the right to carry a firearm?

Not responding to you specifically, just the thread.
It’s amazing how much things have changed in a year. The opinion of this board was all about “winning” and cleaning house, and it’s slowly flipping. The posts and upvote/downvote ratios say a lot. I’m not saying it’s good or bad, just an observation.

What's wrong with this part? These idiots are loudly blowing rape whistles to intentionally damage the hearing of ICE officers.
Rape whistle have a range of dB from 120 to 150, enough to cause permanent hearing loss. No sympathy for her at all.
