Totality of circumstances:
Was he acting aggressive?
Was he attacking, even in supposed defense?
Was he making threats?
If the answer is yes to those questions then the gun becomes a catalyst, even if not directly used.
If the answer is no then the gun is a constitutionally protected item.
I don't think we will ever get enough details to answer those questions, but I think a court will and letting 12 people make the decision based on those facts is the system we have. I am content to let it play out.

I remember the last two election nights were VERY pro Trump and the admin on here. The robbery in 2020 was vindicated in 2024. The pulse was that we needed to fix the mess at all costs.
Minneapolis was almost universally made fun of and disliked dating back to Covid and St George.
This thread has demonstrated a bit of a shift. Lots of the same folks that wanted to sweep up the mess are siding with the deceased here and some suggesting we need to leave MN alone.
Again, I’m not taking sides, just observing.

I’m closing in on 40. I keep up, and sometimes get caught up on here. At the end of the day, I just need to control my own bubble and if anything, get involved in my own community.
Some would say I’m sticking my head in the sand. I have a reliable job and a kid, so I’m not going to protest in the streets and fight the power these days.

Bob Jacobson just admitted that they had to leave the crime scene because they did not have enough personnel to control the area. That is quite an admission after the Governor said that he had all of the personnel he needed to keep the peace. They could not even hold a crime scene without retreating.
Walz is blaming the feds for creating "chaos" and then leaving the scene. It ignores the lack of coordination and assistance from the state in these operations.
Walz is saying that they are "slandering this individual" and saying that the federal government "does not want you to trust your eyes and ears." In other words, he is conveying, again, that the facts are clear from the video.

When you’re kitted up like you’re about to go door to door in Fallujah, a whistle is the only thing that can do any real damage. It can even get thru that plate armor.

I'm simply pointing out that Pretti was not, in fact, carrying legally under Minnesota state law contrary to what the dipshit asserted.
