Dealing with whitey and the insurance companies is like dealing with a puppy, they give you the run-around. Get everything you're entitled to. Signed, Penney & The G

They see Spencer Callahan riding in on a helicopter and think to themselves he lives that baller lifestyle and he can get them that by faking neck and back injuries.

Just so y’all know, there are multiple reasons for this phenomenon. One is that EMTALA requires emergency rooms to provide treatment under all circumstances. ERs cannot refuse treatment if a patient cannot present proof of insurance. Other healthcare providers can, however. This is why the ER is frequented by the black community, many of whom lack health insurance.

White people have the luxury of seeing how they feel and going to their PCP if they have lingering issues.

Black people don't have that. They are often reliant on emergency care due to healthcare injustice in this country. They also face a justice system that doesn't provide them the benefit of the doubt when they're the victims of negligence, particularly when their injuries are the fault of white drivers. This only furthers the need for them to seek immediate medical care and obtain documentation of their injuries. Factor in the systemic bias in insurance claims processing (which discounts the harm experienced by black Americans in favor of antiquated white-dominated systems like medical records, etc.) - it's a recipe for injustice.

I worked in an ER for years so I fixed it for you

Most blacks don't have primary care physicians. The ER is their PCP. That's why the BRG midcity closed a couple years back. They were losing about a million dollars a month.

Eh, you can bet it gets passed along to the healthcare consumer.

This confuses me, I thought black people didn't have access to healthcare because of racism. This stat is very contradictory to what the media is telling me.

A lie. Progs just use that to get government to socialize the medical industry.

No. There is a reason most hospitals are going belly up across the country

1. looking for payday
2. no seatbelts
3. pain meds
4. more likely to complain about pain than any other race on the planet
5. more likely to be taken to hospital

I'm somewhat joking, but my dad is on board for hospital (the hospital closed, but there's still a board for it and there's a nursing home). 40% of budget was for indigent care thru ER. 40%!

Folks show up at the ER for everything possible. You have a guy who lost a hand in a chainsaw accident in the same room as people "with the spells," and whatnot. It's an absolute waste, and they are absolutely looking for drugs and attention. And you would NOT be surprised at how important personal injury settlements are for low-class people.

Sir, I cannot find any signs of injury. Is you sure? My nex huts. Oooo owww. Well, okay den. Can you gib me sommin fo it?
