I'm here early for the next Boomer melt thread.
The Boomers paid for their own education.
They weren’t entitled children like the latest generations.
Apparently they had it figured out.

What's that mean? Like teachers and stuff?
I suspect you need to have a certain melanin content in your skin cells to get additional money.

The real issue is people who cant afford college, and who dont apply to begin with. Id rather funding upfront for middle school/high school kids to attend better schools

When you could work a part time job and pay your semester off in a month..

Trying to buy votes. If it happens, that's all that's about.

Horse shite. The whole idea but especially since they’re excluding the people that used their education to get good jobs and pay higher taxes. Hey you hard workers who took out loans to pay a frick load in taxes, yeah frick you.

Imagine how the poor souls that took out a private loan for college are feeling right now.
Or the ones who busted arse and worked shitty jobs to pay it off their student loans…

Funny how they always keep that carrot dangling out in front of the idiots with useless degrees.

10k is peanuts. Weak move Joe.

Loans locked in at 8.5% interest for the last decade while the interest rates were at rock bottom was totally fair. It's absurd that don't offer an option to refinance at what people are currently borrowing at after a certain period of paying on time.

You think this kind of idea is going to control the cost of higher education?

Student loan cancellation is the ultimate bribe to the upper middle class...
The average college graduate makes $20k per year more than a high school graduate (median income for college grade is $1150/week, for high school diploma $750/week). The blue collar party wants their voters to pay off white collar debt.

Just another handout for the democrat base, wealthy coastal elites who want handouts for their stupid kids who got useless degrees

Did the people taking the loans out not agree to pay it back? Apparently they knew the cost when they agreed to take the money.
Be an adult.

Pretty sure you can refinance student loans.

White House officials have been weighing – and leaning toward – the cancellation of up to $10,000 in student loan debt per borrower tied to an income threshold, CNN has learned.
Can we do a 25 year look back and refund loans paid in full for those that qualify?
Posted on 8/22/22 at 6:55 pm to Tarps99
I've got the 25k I need to pay all my loans off in full sitting in my account ready to go as soon as the payments resume but if uncle sleepy wants to lop a few jihads off the top be my guest
