I was a sales and implementation engineer for a software company for over a decade and Pennsylvania was one of the states I covered so I went there a lot. Pittsburgh wouldn't be a bad place to live.

I've enjoyed every minute in Boston, ok except when the bombs went off next to my hotel. But that night it was easy to get in restaurants on Hanover.

Like others have said Boston and it’s not even close. Boston is probably the nicest and cleanest big American city I’ve been to.

They are both great if you know where to poke around.

Only shitty people “think” places are shitty.

You can drop me off in Dayton or Tulsa and I’d find something fun to do.

I agree with this. I have had good times in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport. Doesn't mean they are better places to live than others.

*once had a great time in McAllen, Texas and I damn sure don't want to live there.

Unlike these guys, I do like Philly, but like these guys, Boston is better by a fricking mile.

tOT has correctly answered your question 60 times over, so I’ll just add that both cities are more racist than any medium-large city south of the Mason-Dixon.

Philly sucks, lots of homeless junkies and hood rats. The suburbs are nice and Eastern PA has nice scenery. While Boston has it faults, it's still fairly clean and the economy is really good.

Not just Louisiana. Small towns in the south by and large are shite holes. Small towns in New England are by and large wonderful.
