I'm on my 3rd Silverado. Never had any mechanical issues other than routine maintenance. I am leary of another GM purchase due to the 2015-2019 transmission problems. My current 2007 Silverado Z71 5.3L has over 200k miles, so I need to be on the lookout for another truck.

Hoping to find a 2015-2019 Tundra Crewmax 6.5 ft bed 4wd. I want a true 8 cylinder not some Turbo V6.

What is the best way to search for a Tundra? Local Used and new dealers, Autotrader, Cars.com, etc.? Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm in no hurry, as it's not a buyers market. Although ready to buy if a good deal can be found.

Facebook Marketplace, its about all FB is good for, its the go to location people use to advertise things for sale so thats what you should use when buying or selling anything used

I used this plus FB marketplace when I was looking for one last year. Found 2-3 I was ok with, bought the best deal from a dealer, but second best deal was on FB marketplace.

Had a 14 and a 19 (19 got totaled by a yahoo who blew a red light)

1. Prepare to pay through the nose for a 19...almost as much as new sticker
2. I got a 22 with the ttv6. If you can get it, take the six. More power, more torque, better fuel mileage.
3. the 8 will average about 13.5 MPG...it was terrible...Loved my Toyotas, but those first few were brutal at the pump.

Crewmax only came in 5.5ft bed. The Double Cabs came in the 6.5ft.

I'm on my 3rd Tundra. I agree, the MPG is shiat, I'm right there at 13.5. I just can't bring myself to hop on the turbo wagon in year one, at least. I'm hoping my current one lasts a few more years. I'm only at 194,000 miles. ;-)

These don't exist unfortunately. You'd have to go with the double cab.

My previous Tundra was a double cab, I highly highly recommend the crew max if you have actual people riding in the back seat. About the only thing I miss from the double was there was storage under the back seat.

Toyota had been making reliable turboed vehicles for multiple decades....it's not like your dealing with an Ecoboost.

This engine in the 22 tundra is basically the same one from the large lexus.

They did get a bad batch of turbos early, but most have been outstanding.

I'd start with not buying a tundra
