Best way to launder money?

I’m rewatching the whole Breaking Bad series and it had me wondering, what would be the best way to launder money if you were a criminal?
Figured it would be a fun thought experiment for the masterminds of the OT….
I’m thinking tow truck driver like a certain company that likes to harass LSU students.

Aren't a majority of the pot dispensaries r a heavily cash oriented or cash only business? Heard credit card companies didnt want to get in bed with them.

Local Mexican Restaurants. Open several of them under the same name in surrounding communities. Isn’t that what the cartel already does?

Restaurant, next to a laundry mat, next to a convenience/vape store, and then a tire shop.
Depending the amount of cash you’re moving you need heavy cash based businesses. If you’re moving 1-2M a year the above is pretty easy but if your talking Marty Byrd/Walter White levels of cash, moving 50+m a year would require an enormous network of businesses or casino(s). As exampled by Pollos Hermanos and Missouri Belle.
I was in the line at the bank for some dumb reason and an old lady had probably 5-6k in cash/coins and said it was from her car washes. That could be an easy business but very capex/asset heavy.

It has nothing to do with the credit card companies.
Pot is still illegal at the federal level. All bank transactions are federally regulated. That is why dispensaries have to operate on a cash-only basis.
At one time, Colorado was working on a Colorado-only banking system in order to get around the federal requirements. I don't know if they ever completed it.
