Group:
Murder in Hong Kong (clue-esque)
Just One (best party game)

Coops:
Nemesis (best for serious gamers)
Blood of Dracula
Arkham or Eldritch Horror
Horrified (best family)
Betrayal at House on the Hill (I hear Scooby-Doo is the best version for family)
Mansions of Madness (v2) (shorter better Arkham)

Competitive:
Twilight Imperium (only for the bravest)
7 wonders
Cosmic Encounters

Eta: Gloomhaven and the shorter Jaws of the Lion are both really good. Recommend for fantasy game lovers like D&D, etc.
I really really like Brass: Birmingham, but the replayability is only OK.
Pandemic is kinda meh.
The best Risk is Risk:2240...yeah, I said it, better than Risk: Legacy (one of the best legacy/campaign games)
Dominion is probably the best deck-builder but I had fun with Ascension and I like Star Realms.

I've played hundreds of Board Games...maybe a thousand or so.

It's simple, plays well and is very replayable.

But, some villains are just cruise control, others can't win in a 4 player game.

It's great for clowning on a mark that doesn't know they're the mark...

Growing up our buddy's mom was a slut so all our definitions were about bondage, buttsex and whatnot, he had no idea.

Space Base is my favorite game I don't own. I'm going to buy it next time I see it.

I've played mystic vale...I think that's his, too.

Cards against humanity is always a good time. My girlfriend and I play Yahtzee quite a bit on lazy Saturday afternoons.

I have the Star Trek version of this and beat Jones but then came upon a rule we didn’t realize, so now he calls me the forever loser.
