There has been a major problem for years with people, stupidly or ignorantly, mixing benzos and opioids. This is a killer, and much easier/quicker than one would think.

My exwifes aunt was/is a hidden 'barhead'. I think that this is just the next 'big' thing.... like when pain pills were 'exposed'.....

Those benzos are bad news. I had a college roommate get bad off on xanax. Turned into an pain pill user and then turned in to a heroin user and then turned into an armed robber. Now he's doing hard time. True story. Saw a few other people take that same road.

They can really numb you to things that you shouldn't be numb to. Some people legitimately need them, but a lot of people on them would be better off with therapy and learning how to deal with life. That's my non-doctor opinion, anyways.

Anyone here struggling with Benzo addiction?

I used to. I had a 10+ blue footballs combined with multiple ambien a day type of addiction.

Start off the day with 4 xanax, then I'd drink half a pot of coffee while smoking bud and waiting for my pills to kick in. Throughout the day I would make black coffee drinking about 3 pots.

There were time where I was fully clothed. Boots, leather jacket, etc..and all i could do was lay and sleep. Anywhere was comfortable, I quit cold Turkey which was a living hell for me. Bit I've not taken one (even when I legit needed them) in over 2 and a half years.

My gf was stressed the other night and took a Xanax while drinking mikes hard lemonade.

The crazy that came out of her mouth the next 3 hours was not very fun for me

I hope I’m not struggling. If I take it as prescribed I have nothing to worry about.

It was bad, I alienated everyone and myself. I barely remember 2014 and 2015. Avoid wrecks, arrests,.. Was with a girl who said she was pregnant but miscarried..I dodged some bullets I didnt deserve to dodge.

Almost like the force was guiding me.

A lot if the time I did get this way too. But did you have to have a drink with you that you drank the hell out if? I could kill a can of coke a cola in 1 or 2 sips and go for another.

Yep, that'd be a problem. Glad you survived quitting that habit cold turkey. Going cold turkey with a dependence like that could have killed you.

My wife takes them for severe anxiety. They're the only thing rhat help her. Her regular doc is retiring and she's having trouble finding another one who wants to put up with the coming hassle of prescribing them.

She doesn't drink or use any other drug and she only uses the xanax as prescribed.
