Yowza. As someone who knows a bit about this topic, that's hard to fathom and I bet getting clean had to be absolute hell.

First of all congrats. I’ve always wondered how someone maintains a habit like this. How much did 20 pills per day cost, and how did you afford it?

ETA: I understand some people maintain their habit by pawning stolen weedeaters, but I am genuinely curious how functional addicts who live otherwise normal lives manage to do it. I would imagine it’s expensive.

I will advise y’all do not mix Xanax bars, molly, ecstasy, weed, cocaine, Percocet, adderall and bourbon all together in one night.

Trust me. Bad idea.

It would be hard today because they’ve cracked down on pills so much. Can’t find them as easy on the street. Few years ago could get as many bars as you want for 5 dollars a bar. So 100 bucks a day. If you had a good job or were a business owner it’s pretty feasible

Maybe in Mississippi. Could get singles for 5, 100 of them drops you down to the $2 range. They basically forced you to get them with your opiates when Florida was pill milling unfettered. They'd offload the bars to recoup some cost on the roxies.

Alcohol, acid, many other elicit substances, I've always been aware of what I was doing while drunk/high and always clearly remember what happened the next morning (sometimes regretfully, but I'll remember).

Took some Xanax after heavy drinking one night and truly blacked out. Buddy and I went to this girl's house, I remember sitting on the couch in the living room shooting the shite with my boy while ole girl was in another room. Don't remember a fricking thing after that. Girl was pissed the next day....apparently we were trying to double team her. I have absolutely no recollection of that happening, nor is it something I would typically pursue.

frick Xanax and the horse it rode in on.

Yeah, let me add this cautionary tale. They last a long time in your system. I experimented with one one night. It didn’t do anything, and I went about the next day. Friend had a party that night, and I drank some whiskey and blacked the frick out. They had to carry me out.

Drugs are bad.

I'm prescribed valium and take it every day because I'm extremely prone to panic attacks. The day the doctors stop prescribing to me is the day I kill myself and I'm dead serious. frick going through life having severe 2 hour long panic attacks where my body thinks I'm having a heart attack every day.

Pick your poison (pardon the pun):

Nancy Reagan - Stay in school, stay off drugs, OR

Jesse Jackson - Up with hope, down with dope

Your choice, baws.

Staying off the dope is the smart play here.

Doctors can't just stop prescribing benzodiazepines to people all at once without even trying to wean them off first. You can easily die from withdrawal and if you don't die, you're at an extremely high risk of suicidal behavior. Plus I'm sure there would be a shite ton of law suits going around.

Sorry to hear that, bud. That's an awful way to live. I hope things eventually get better for you.

I took a low dose of Ativan after my brother died for panic attacks. In all honesty, they likely kept me from blowing my brains out in the aftermath. But I never drank on them and took them as prescribed (and my GP was super strict about my prescription).

I could easily see where they’d be highly addictive and easy to OD on.

Things that did not happen. Molly and Ecstasy are the same thing. They are both street names for MDMA. If you mix MDMA, cocaine, and adderall together with downers like xanax, opiates, and alcohol you'll more than likely have a heart attack from that ridiculous speed ball.
