As the father to an 11 month old little girl, I agree.

At the fun age with my son now. He’s into same stuff as me. Football, airplanes, fast cars, music, etc.

My daughter is the same way with volleyball!! Super competitive, and way more focused then any boy I’ve seen. From the time she gets her homework done until bed time(unless dinner) she is outside practicing.

We probably have 20+ volleyballs now just bc I got tired of going over the fence every time she sails one. During Ida she was outside under the patio doing pepper. She never stops, and is super motivated.

it can be an expensive hobby though

So, I broke a couple of the school’s rules to bring her a Powerade and Advil. They let dads get away with stuff like that.

She absolutely lit up when she saw me, and she was genuinely happy to get 8oz of flavored water and medicine from me.

She knew the "advil" was really MDMA.

I have a 15 year old daughter that is a top student at probably the #1 academic school in La.

My wife asked her yesterday if where her boyfriend goes to college will affect her decision...she replied "eggs don't chase sperm."

Yeah, having kids is awesome.

When mine was 13 you would've thought I was a leper. She 1/2 way acts like she kinda sorta doesn't hate me now. Small victories

Who_Dat_Tiger

We had to leave our son in NICU for 11 days and it was a real heart breaker. I still remember that first night away from him. Such an empty feeling. My wife and I lay in bed hugging each other and crying.

I can't come close to imagining what you've gone thru. Thoughts and prayers brother and hopefully the little one gets well sooner than later and you have her home for Christmas.

I agree, my 6 year olds still light up when I come home. My 9 year old son is out of his little kid stage, but watching him take on challenges and push through is incredible.

Dropped by my daughter’s school earlier today because she had her braces removed yesterday and was still hurting this AM

Man I remember this feeling of getting those braces off, hell I had them twice .

Good on you OP for being a good dad though, it’s little things like that that they remember . You always remember the times that your parents show up. That’s as valuable as anything else out there .

You got some more prayers coming buddy. Keep us updated on your little girl

Mine is 12 and I cherish our rides to and from school. It’s just a chance to talk, share a little old man knowledge, and hear about her day.

Good job, dad.
