13? Enjoy it while it lasts, I remember when my 'Daddy's girl' became daddy's nightmare pretty quickly by 14 or so. She is grown up now with kids of her own, and tries to downplay how awful she was as a teenager. Me & her mother never forgot!

My 14 year old daughter loves spending time with me and my 16 year old daughter works me into her schedule.
If I lived closer I’m sure I’d see em a lot more and I’m currently working on moving back closer

Bring her a BodyArmor next time. She'll cherish you even more.

There is nothing, nothing, better than being a dad. 38 years ago with the first and I remember like it was yesterday. Tears as I type. I regret nothing and would love to do it over again. No regrets.

Why I love being a dad are the things they say. I mention my son hit a growth spurt during the summer and without missing a beat says "yep, got hair on my balls and everything".
Kid has a quick wit on him. Now he's a teenager so that wit really needs an adjustment.

True but this will completely confuse inner city democrat voters. As we all know, what is the most confusing day in the inner cities?
Fathers Day

Not my fancy but my dad is into that. I’ll let him assume that role

God dammit you lucky somebitch. Every sport my kids ever played I always had that normal thought/dream of them getting a scholly somewhere. But they were all mediocre athletes at best.
Congrats buddy!

OP, at 13 you don't have much time left so enjoy it to the fullest while it lasts. As soon as she gets a driver's license you become her ex-chauffeur!
I had the surreal experience of a single dad raising a super-high IQ daughter who early matured and was basically past childhood at ten. Imaging just pushing all timelines forward by six or seven years. She will soon become Dr. Menace.

I couldn't agree more...BUT, don't get too hurt when she/he doesn't think you are SUPERMAN anymore.
It hurts like hell, but I am told that they eventually come back to you. I hope that is true.
