I did once, bought a homeless man some bread, canned goods, and some water from the store. Brought it outside to him and he replied with, "what the frick am I going to do with that. Just give me the fricking money"
This sounds like a stereotypical embellishment to me.

Same...
I told him I have no cash on me thinking that would be enough to get him off my back but he said "No problem there is an ATM inside.
I then told him I don't have my debit card on me, must have left it on the dresser. All I have are credit cards. He replied "use the one with the lowest APR."
So then I said these cards are restricted and I can't get cash advances. "That's ok" he says, as he is pulling a Square Point-of-Sale device out of his pocket and attaches it to his iPhone X. "PayPal or Cash app?"

Apparently, food wasn't important

I went full Tom Herman’s wife before she made it cool when I was approached by a panhandler who went with the old, “there’s an ATM inside”.
I said - “ok cool”.
No hashtag sadly. But dude backed off and left me alone.
Edit: This was in Lafayette like 4 years ago

Drove to the Target on Siegen and I-10 and parked in the lot and started making my way to the entrance where a beggar out of no where comes up to me with some sob story about how he is trying to get back to New Orleans but doesn't have enough money for gas in his car. I told him I have no cash on me thinking that would be enough to get him off my back but he said "No problem there is an ATM inside and kept following me". I thought ignoring him would get him to go away but he literally followed me into the store and all the way to the grocery aisles where I was going. Then I told him I am not giving him any money and he said "Why you gotta treat a man in need like that". I told him to leave me alone or I am getting store security and he told me "frick you, hoe arse" and left the store.
I had to pull a cutlass on an aggressive beggar last year. He approached me with his bullshite son story i’d Already heard and I told him I didn’t want to hear it. He kept on and I told him to frick off and stop bothering working men. He kept on with his bullshite story of how he was a millionaire and made 70 dollars an hour but he lost his wallet and his pregnant wife was at the motel 6.
I told him frick you, frick off, get away.
He says “why you gotta cuss me like that.”
He started walking away and another crew member came over and I was telling him about the junkie.
Then the junkie turns around and says “you wanna talk shite?”
Starts walking towards me agressively.
I tell him not to come any closer.
He keeps walking towards me and says “you wanna throw hands!?”
He’s about 15 yards away at this point and not stopping
I reach in my truck where I keep my cutlass for clearing brush and draw it from its sheath, brandishing it in front of me. I tell him
“I’ll cut them off your arms and throw them at you if you come another step.”
He stopped at that point and other crew members came and got him out of there and helped defuse the situation. But i’m Not about to let a junkie get near me with violent intent. I despise junkies

It should be legal to shoot these people on sight. A blight on humanity.

I’d have given him the “no cash” bit and if he’d persisted, it would’ve never come to him following me. He’d have been told to buzz off in no uncertain terms.

Agreed. But, looks like a very high percentage of stories on this thread are too.

They've gotten really bad in Gainesville. I've told quite a few off at this point. Just ridiculous. You can't go anywhere without them up your arse. I just give then a mean look and usually they stop walking towards me. Some aren't smart enough to take the hint. One nearly assaulted my GF in her car as well. Just insane and have no sympathy for any of them now.

I may have met that same guy outside the wataburger right there maybe a year ago. Came outside after lunch and he starts with the I need gas money blah blah blah. Told him I don’t have cash and he says cool we can go to the ATM. Told him that’s not happening and he gets angry and tells me to GTFO. It was so odd

You start too many threads on bums. Why are you so worried about other people? Do you.

There is one here in Monroe that hangs out by the drive thru ATM. He just stands right next to it and I guess ask the drivers for money while they're pulling out cash. I've seen him twice but I don't use that ATM so I haven't had a personal experience with him. I feel like I'd tell him to get the frick away from my car while i made my withdrawal. Maybe I'd be a puss though and not tell him that, but I sure as hell wouldn't give him any money.
