You could have just said "I don't have any money for you" without making an excuse, right off the bat. But then you wouldn't have this cool story.

I-10 off ramp onto College/Lee area there was always a panhandler, same with one in a wheelchair near the Regions Bank. fricking bums.

Someone should make some fake BRPD Panhandler Taskforce business cards to hand out when they ask for money.

If he sees them approaching, my brother always asks them for money first. I’ve started doing it recently and it’s actually pretty fun.
