Long-awaited Five O Fore driving range almost certain to see delays from theft

Dozens of massive iron beams, weighing nearly a ton each, had been stacked at the site, along with piles of metal sheeting.

Any baws on here aware of a black market for structural steel? Isn't that stuff stamped in some way? Would seem like it would be hard to move. It's not like stealing bearer bonds in some corny 80s action movie.

As I have been saying my whole life, anything not tied down in Nola will grow legs. There are literally no exceptions.

If it weren't for the 18 wheeler and rough terrain forklift, I'd say check at the scrapyard near Broad St. and find out 300K of steel was scrapped for 3 grand. Maybe. a-hole employees were scrapping new valves and fittings at S&WB for about 2 or 3% of their actual cost.

But this is a semi-well though out plan or its somebody repoing the steel for unpaid bills.

But NOPD showed up within a few hours to write a report that will likely be ignored. That's progress!

To be continued...

Is someone going to have fore-fit their contract? How are you so certain it wasn’t some fringe element that saw a chance at a chip shot score?

That’s right inside job, I used to work out at Monsanto with a contractor that ran wire all throughout the plant.
When Big Ol copper wire rolls for the big jobs were “accidentally” left out then taken/stolen we always knew that it was the foreman. Shady Baws

I noticed the other day that all of the copper wire at Home Depot is locked in a case, whereas the aluminum isn’t…makes sense
