Quit taxing people to death and spending their tax money on completely wasted fraud or crap. If you eliminate the wasteful spending and fraud the teachers can get the raises needed.
BTW, my wife is a teacher. Our county went out and talked to people to approve a tax for schools. Guess what, the BOE went and hired bloated salaried staff at the BOE and didn't utilize the money for the schools or the teachers. Guess what, the next time they asked for money, they rejected any new or existing tax.
