With all this rain in Texas and La the past few days why weren’t there more warnings?

How many schools closed yesterday and today between Houston and Baton Rouge? Seems like it should have shut the whole state down.

Bunch of flood warnings up.

Severe warnings require severe storms, not just thunderstorms.

Bluebonnet and Coursey were a mess

I’ve never seen Bluebonnet south of Burbank flood the full width of the 5 lanes like that.

Gotcha. So about the schools? They knew severe weather and severe floods were coming, did they close schools and state offices?

So Springlake/Fairhill area isn't a good idea to try to get to tonight?

It’s fine. It was flooding between there and Nicholson but not impassable.

It was flooded all the way across between preserve at harveston and Nicholson. Cars were able to make it across slowly when I drove through.

You can get there fine from Burbank

One time I decided to buy a house by my work. Then I wasn't late for work and getting home was super easy.

And we all lived happier ever after.

We live 4.5 miles from my office, 2 from my wife's and 1.5 from my kid's school. Still took me an hour to get home

The DOTD guys could've easily pushed her car to the dry part. Instead, they just opened the doors and let the water pour in

Can't expect any more from LA DOTD though
